A few games have been called off today so travelling fan's are taken into consideration I guess. I assume we asked for the inspection today and have probably now travelled down. I seem to recall that when a game against Salford was called off very late in the Covid season our expenses were paid by them so perhaps clubs have some sort of arrangement for this. Doesn't help the poor travelling fan's of course. Not going to this one personally but now hope for all concerned it does go ahead. Won't be booking ifollow airlines until later tomorrow though...

"Anyway, fingers crossed, could really do without another game being called off whilst we're playing saturday/saturday"

Last week (or maybe the week before) Truro postponed a match at 2pm against Welling. Pretty brutal that one as you'd have thought any fans, if there were any travelling, would have already been balls deep in Cornwall at that point! Anyway, fingers crossed, could really do without another game being called off whilst we're playing saturday/saturday. Nah, that was Dartford on Tuesday evening - postponed an hour before kick off after giving it the go-ahead at 11.00!

Oooh Andrew did a racism! But yeah, it can cut both ways according to football philosophy, probably more momentum with a promotion chasing set of battering rams than a relegation bunch held together with paper clips and cable ties but still. Let's just hope it's on!

Think I'll also be "abroad" for this match. I'm not much of a traveller and this will be my first time watching the U's from sunnier climes. Is there a cut-off time by which one needs to purchase the ifollow match pass or can you buy it right up to KO?

Think you can probably still buy once in progress tbh. Will need a VPN airline!

Complete change of weather this morning in Cornwall. Back to grey skies and mild. See no reason for a postponement unless the South West algal bloom spreads from Plymouth.

At 2pm on Friday, January 19 a PGMOL appointed official on behalf of the EFL undertook an inspection of the pitch, and he felt that with the improving temperatures there will need to be a further inspection tomorrow, to give the match every chance of going ahead.
The majority of the pitch is currently in good shape, but the areas that cause concern are in the shade of the Nevada Construction Main Stand.
After further consultation with PGMOL and the EFL, the pitch will again be inspected on the referees arrival around lunchtime on Saturday, which will give sufficient time to see how the pitch has responded to the warmer temperatures.
We will update supporters as soon as we can after the inspection tomorrow.

Anybody else having I-follow playback problems? Since Friday morning, any attempt to play a historic video via Edge just gives me a black screen and no video or controls. I've tried re-starting, clearing cookies and caches, etc...
Puts my planned trip to Brussels in doubt...

If the frost has really got into the ground which I presume it has otherwise there would be no inspection today then It won’t be on it won’t thaw in time for a 12am decision .If the police could man the ground we could play it at 7;45 pm😀
