Hopefully after a week training with the squad, Lyle Taylor will be a shoe in to start, with maybe one or two new faces if Harris gets his way. Regardless, we should have enough about us to gain at least a draw against the Grecians, who are having quite a grim season.

Not to stick the boot in, but didn't we do this shoe ñun thing already a few days back? Poor form. (Needs arch support.)

Home form seems to have picked up in recent weeks (7 points from 3 games) so won’t be as easy as the table might suggest.

We have the 7th best home record this season with 24/42 points, but the 22nd best, or 3rd worst away record with 6/33 points. I'll take a draw.

A draw would be OK yeah. Definitely need to avoid a loss though. We always seem to find St James Park a difficult place to go, regardless of league or relative form for either team, so I was expecting a tough game down there even before they started to pick up slightly (which were wins against Carlisle & Wycombe, and a draw against Portsmouth).
They're the joint lowest scorers in the country (might even be outright now, after the weekend) so need to do our utmost to make sure that continues.
With Taylor starting, I think we'll have enough about us to nick it 2-1 in an edgy game, after going 2 up and riding our luck towards the end. Only question mark really is over whether Kachunga came off with an injury or just precautionary? If he's fit, I'd start him in the hole with Brophy dropping out; if not, move Lankester into the middle & Kaikai right.

Regardless, we should have enough about us to gain at least a draw against the Grecians, who are having quite a grim season. Dipped into their message board and it also makes for pretty grim reading. Lots of negativity about Caldwell and their lack of activity in the transfer market, particularly for a striker....(!). A majority seem convinced they are destined for relegation. Also lots of interesting comments about their ownership model and some of the limitations associated with it: finances, speed of decision-making, how quickly/slowly they can remove a manager etc. I think at least a draw and possibly an away win.

Well that seems a bit odd. Do they know how far away Cambridge is or should someone mention it to them.
Anyway, big question for me on Saturday is the state of Brophy's beard. I didn't like Goatee Brophy last week so I hope the big bushy beard is back.

We'll see how good their covers are then - and if they have a 'Darler' in their ranks!
