15 minutes!!!! They must have been really good during half time then. Genuinely, he's gone from a "disappointing second half" to 30 minutes, 20 and now 15.

The covers used by lower league clubs generally don’t take several nights of really low temperatures just because the frost hasn’t got to the pitch in last few days means nothing if it gets to any areas of the pitch tonight my guess is that it will be postponed. The forecast only leaves about four hours Friday with above freezing temperatures then Saturday there no sun till lunchtime. Yeah you're probably right on that one although I guess they might have access to some heaters to try to help thaw it.

Nah, 85 is how many goals Neil Harris thinks we should have scored since he took over.

I just hope they consider the forecast for tomorrow when doing the pitch inspection as looking at the temperatures it is going to be very different by then. BBC says +5c this time tomorrow with it rising to +8c by kick off. The pitch may well be unplayable at 2pm today but with temperatures like that it will change for sure by tomorrow. We all know if the game was here Ian Darler would make sure its on. I do also wonder if it would work to Exeter's advantage to play us later on once they too have some new players in.

A lot of Exeter fans saying the game will be off as they have problem areas where they can’t stop it from freezing.

I'm sure that when we played Man Und, the club were given frost covers (by the BBC or FA?), which Darler still uses today, to protect the pitch and ensure the game would go ahead. If that is a regular thing, surely Exeter have similar covers, they have also had high profile televised matches.
However, the mere fact they are having an inspection today suggests they may not be as efficient as ours? Or they haven't got an Ian Darler!

A draw would be OK yeah. Definitely need to avoid a loss though. We always seem to find St James Park a difficult place to go, regardless of league or relative form for either team, so I was expecting a tough game down there even before they started to pick up slightly (which were wins against Carlisle & Wycombe, and a draw against Portsmouth). They're the joint lowest scorers in the country (might even be outright now, after the weekend) so need to do our utmost to make sure that continues. With Taylor starting, I think we'll have enough about us to nick it 2-1 in an edgy game, after going 2 up and riding our luck towards the end. Only question mark really is over whether Kachunga came off with an injury or just precautionary? If he's fit, I'd start him in the hole with Brophy dropping out; if not, move Lankester into the middle & Kaikai right. Stevens
Bennett Bennett Morrison Andrew
Digby Cousins
Lankester Kachunga Kaikai
Taylor No we dont, a nice 1-0 win last time in front of 5k Utd fans!!!

Nah, 85 is how many goals Neil Harris thinks we should have scored since he took over. I'm all for Harris's bullishness. It makes a refreshing contrast to the stark realism of Bonner who would tend to describe things as they are without putting a positive spin on to gee up fans.

Yeah I agree to a point, but there's a fine line between a positive spin & sounding a bit deluded. He's been alright with it so far but it's the sort of thing that can come back to bite you a bit when you're in a tricky spot & patience starts getting stretched, as Bonner's approach did with him.
I'm not particularly interested in being told by our manager that we played well against Orient save for a 15-minute spell in the second half when I, and everyone else in the stadium, watched us be thoroughly outplayed for 90 minutes by a team we should at the very least be in the same stratum of the table with.

Agreed. I reckon he thinks he can get away with saying that for time being because he knows that overall he's had a very good start as manager. Also - if he's trying to create the impression that we're a hard side to beat to opposition fans / management / media, then this may a good way of doing it. But yeh - it means balancing a fine line because he can only do it for as long as fans back him.

I prefer honesty and realism even it's hard to hear so some of the spin does little for me tbh.
I don't think he gets the balance right myself BUT we're in decent form so it's really a non-issue...and probably meaningless even if we were poor.
