Can a BBBC new manager bounce continue with a 2.5 month gap in between his first and second game?
Providing we don’t name a new manager before Saturday.

What you drinking Mike? I think someone spiked my drink. That's what happens when you leave your phone or laptop unattended!

I'm with Mike. I feel oddly inspired by Harris leaving.
Disclaimer - he really did do a decent job but...we've been quite hard to identify with after the summer turnover of players and as much as he tried with all the 'terrace to pitch' talk, 'Cambridge means a lot to me' stuff and fisting the NRE I found that connection hard to come by in Harris.
Barry Corr however...he's already got the hard earned love of the fans without having to try and manufacture it. I can't wait for Saturday.

Whilst I’m not confident about on the pitch matters on Saturday I think after today’s events and Posh going to Wembley, the atmosphere will be excellent on Saturday.
I hope we just stick to the Fat Baz song and don’t sing about domestic violence again but sadly I don’t think that will happen.

New manager bounce for us and them one eye on a Wembley trip and a trophy, I think I'm more confident than this time yesterday. Exactly. Barry Corr knows all to well what the pish game means to us and I have faith in him delivering again like he did when he took charge of the Fleetwood cup game.

Yep, feel alot more confident on this one without Harris.
The best version of Cambridge was the 2nd half of the first season in div 1 and the last 15 games of the 2nd season in div 1. For me, the difference is that we went on the front foot and played with confidence.
The version of Cambridge under Harris is just a bit underwhelming and meh. He couldn't get us to punch above our weight and get that unexpected victory. Never seemed to have a match where both plan a and b works.

I can't wait for Saturday. Andrew Spot on and it's been mentioned before. Since the news was announced I've been trying to work out my own reaction. I think I was more surprised reading about it than I was about it actually happening. The one thing I don't feel is disappointment. There were some things I quite liked about him and some things I quite liked about what we were doing on the pitch and yes, he's left us better than he found us. But I'm not happy and I'm not sad. And I think that's because of the lack of connection. Having Bonner as manager spoiled us (well most of us!) because it was fresh and different and such a contrast to these serial journeymen managers who do the rounds of endless clubs. I loved that and it made me tingly every time I thought about it. I think Bonner and us was a once-in-a-lifetime moment that might never be repeated (?) and I need to get over myself. Now we turn to Saturday. What an opportunity to get back our club, our story, our identity and put one over on that lot up the A1. And BBBC will understand that in the way that Harris never could. Or would. And I think the atmosphere will be electric. I'm with Mike. Fortis in Procella....(and my drinks have also been spiked).

Perfect timing. After the bizzarely soulless atmosphere last night, we've one of our own running the dug-out once more. I'm ready for a fecking pitch invasion. UIE!

Looking forward to reading who was spotted in the main stand on Saturday (or anywhere with ticket availability). May need its own thread. If Bonner was to be in attendance as a guest of the club or in the Habbin then I think it would break the internet.

If any of you NRE youngsters are reading this thread, on Saturday pull your fingers out of your phone sockets and make some bloody noise for a change. This game matters.

AmBa!
I appreciate Barry "more balls than most" Corr stepping up to the warm dugout seat to plan the doom of Peterboro. Any player with any sense will know they need to back him all the way. The new manager will only keep assets.

Will be there. The planets have aligned and so after 40+ years it'll be my first game against them.

Would be great if they could drop the constant need to use the F word. Not necessary and the use of foul language hardly encourages the rest of the ground to join in.
