Whatever happens with Lennett in the summer, we need a 2nd choice Right back. We'd be stupid not to offer him something unless he's on big wages (I doubt it)

Maybe. I do like that he's a bit of a nasty bastard who puts effort into it...but he's another one with limited ability so I think we're just repeating the same mistakes if we sign him. As above, not against it but not too bothered if we let him go. Andrew I'd take a dozen James Gibbons over a single Lyle Taylor, any day.

Absolutely. Fortunately those aren't our only options.

If he's happy to be a backup then it seems a no-brainer to me. He's looked fine when he plays, full of commitment and flexible enough to cover on the left too. Didn't think he looked bad in the centre myself, though clearly its not his best position.

He got away with some mistakes that on another night could very easily have ended up in a goal/big chance, & was pretty ropey positionally, especially to start with. His height counts against him in the middle too. Gave it a good go though & played his part in what was overall a good performance from a backline no one could ever have predicted we'd have to field.

Looks committed, looks like he cares, seems a steady 6 or 7 out of 10 most weeks and can play a few positions. So even in those simplest terms I think he's worth offering a contract to and its easy to see why managers would pick someone like that as they know what they will get in terms of effort and commitment with the odd mistake. He seems one of those players who will effect the opposition even when he may not win the ball because of his aggressiveness. Ahadme strikes me as a being similar in that way, someone who puts himself about too and for me I like that kind of nasty battler that you can rely on. I think theres a lot to be said about players that do a lot of the unseen / horrible work that may go unnoticed in a game, because I think more often than not fans tend to concentrate solely on what someone is doing with the ball. Take Lennett as an example, its exciting when he's off down the wing and no one knows what will happen, but the other side of the game isn't his strong point (yes he has improved but I think hes weaker in that area than Gibbons or Andrew). Its also noticeable that most weeks teams prefer to target Lennetts side of the pitch, which also speaks volumes on the analysis they've done on us as a defensive unit. But ultimately whether he fits what Monk want's to do going forwards in terms of a more ball playing full back or even if he fits in to what formation we will play next season is another thing.

Personally I would look to keep him if we can as he’s a good option for the bench with him being able to play both sides. Last night was his worst game for us in my opinion, but given he was out of position and only found out he was playing there a couple of hours beforehand that can be forgiven. Although when he brought the ball out and stopped in our half I wasn’t impressed next time just carry as far as you can.

I’d have had him in with a shout for MOM last night, he was everywhere and felt most sorry for him when that penalty was given..
Wouldnt mind seeing him get another year

Would definitely offer a contract he pushed Liam pretty hard for mom last night. Always gives 110% and seems pretty versatile. No brainier really? Just hope he’s fit for Sat looked like a tweaked muscle deep into the second half?

At least he seems to try has a few slip ups but most do at this level but the main thing is he looks as if he cares.

Any player that gives their all for the shirt is all we can ask for IMO and thats exactly how I'd like to think we'd be if we got the chance to put the shirt on. I think its safe to say that last night near enough everyone gave everything and we can't say that for a lot of games this season.

I'd definitely be offering him a new deal, has impressed in plenty of games. Derby on Saturday he put in one hell of a crunching tackle when they had broken through, things like that always get the crowd going and we need players that aren't afraid to do things like that.

I would look at his as a replacement for Haunstraup. A good pro and squad player who can cover a few back line roles. Maybe not a nailed on starter.
