It was obvious from his early interviews that he wasn't planning on being here long term but a couple of months is really taking the piss.

If/when this happens, I feel sorry for the players. At this late stage of the season, they will be adapting to a new manager, new set of ideas, tactics, and potentially formation, when they are in a scrap for survival. When consistency and familiarity are needed, they get the opposite.

We were better in those first 4 games when we played with Corrtsy's tactics anyway.

I don't recall anything he said striking me as he would be a short term appointment? Not sure we would have gone through the recruitment process to bring him in if that was his intent.

Have to move quickly and we have to move big. Go all out, get Duff or Rowett in. None of this Corr till the end of the season business.
This will have absolutely dented the confidence of the players and i'm a bit worried now

Gahahah. That would be... absolutely hilarious. If it happens, can only say fair play to him because it's "his" club, & I wouldn't be at all gutted from the losing him personally standpoint. But it could be pretty destabilising for us as a club.
Bonner in as caretaker until the summer? Hahah. I think it'd be most likely we'd give Corrtsy the job interim until the end of the season & assess from there. Depends who's available & who'd be interested but the "obvious" pool of candidates is not as impressive now as it was earlier this season. Duff would be an excellent appointment though & if he was interested we should go all out for him. I'd still want us to steer clear of Ainsworth.

He brushed ooff a couple of long term type questions in early interviews, could easily be written off as focusing on staying up first but I always got the impression we were a stepping stone for him but never thought it would be such a short step.

Can't say I blame if he goes, but I wouldn't with him well.
That's all I'm saying for now, hah.

Consider us being in the Championship in 7 years' time, on terrible form & looking like we might get relegated. We sack our manager & make contact with Bonner, who's currently in charge at L1 Colchester. I'd expect him to want it & would never judge him for taking it. It would certainly make the next time we played them, quite possibly the next season in the same league, quite spicy though.

I've woke up and dusted off my relegation bingo card, and this wasn't on there. Damn.
Couldn't we just stick Morro up top on Saturday instead?
