On Friday I had a smart meter fitted from e-on .When the electrician came I told him that I was on E10 and would like to stay that way. He told me that he does not set the Tariff but they do .
My underfloor heating & my Immersion heater work of E10.
At 8pm my in house display said my tariff would be changing. Sure enough @ 9pm it did.
But I did not get any heat ( it should have been on from 9pm -7am) so I had to use back-up seating on Saturday.
Saturday evening & Sunday evening it did come on @9m pm , but it went off @ midnight, so I only got 3 hrs.
Yesterday morning I got onto E-ON & explained what happened I was then transferred & had to explain it all again.
I was told E-ON are only responsible for the fitting of the meter & it was probably my heating that is at fault.
My heating & my immersion has worked perfectly until the meter was fitted.
I know when power is getting through to my immersion as a little red light comes on at the top of the switch. & it went off at midnight.
I told the chap that I was sure both my heating were ok .
He said I would have to get an electrician in to check that both were ok and write a report to say that both were working if ok.
So, I said that I have then got to fork out for an electrician then ?
He said if they both prove . to be ok they will reimburse me & fix the meter if it was wrongly installed
So , I have now got to find an electrician that will come and test both & is willing to write out a report

Not being very happy when I spoke to this chap ( surprise,surprise ) I did not think where to sent this report if and when I can get it.
