He did promise Yoon Suk Yeol he'd always come manage Korea if asked in the future.

The Korea fans he sees at the petrol station have probably been badgering him to take the job for months.

Would be a bad move for his managerial Korea.

Lots of talk about how we can do better at developing young players and selling them on but maybe we've found our niche in 'selling' on managers?

If the club want to dispel the rumour, maybe they'd better call Seoul to find out.

My grandson lives in Seoul and says it is being reported on sports channels that Monk was interviewed but it looks like hes just making up the numbers

Look on the bright side, if he was tempted away there would be another huge compo payment to release him from his contract.

Then we can finally get Rowett/Duff/Mourinho. ♥️
Classic Strang genius. Aka the man who paid money for and then sold Azeez.

Bump for the thread on our current manager.
On reflection - what was the best Monk led performance so far ?
Barnsley away seems the obvious choice but the 2nd half vs Wycombe was pretty good too.

I honestly don't know, I do know I'm glad he's our manager though.

Probably Barnsley away for the result, although we did ride out luck quite a bit.
I'm left thinking we haven't really seen a Monk performance tbh. We've seen him adapt to the players and situation at hand and make us hard to beat but there hasn't been much I would say has a Monk identity to it.
I'd say we did far more with Harris and it was fairly blah. I feel like there's a lot more to come from Monk and I'm looking forward to it.
