Yeah, definite priorities for now. Injury updates are something I'd like us to be better at in the future though. I'm interested, generally, in hearing from the backroom staff periodically actually. Similar to how to we get an update from the CEO every couple of months i'd really appreciate hearimg from Liam about the youth team, or from Strang etc. Andrew I know when Matt Walker was here, he used to give very informative updates on injuries. Not frequently, but definitely when there was real news to pass on. Definitely built and added value to the comms flow to the supporters.

I think it's pretty clear, and completely understandable, that Monk doesn't have a full grasp on all the players just yet. Given everything else that's going on, having 2 matches to prepare for along with everything else that comes with joining & settling into a new club in his first 8 days, I don't think it's particularly unreasonable for him to not be worrying, nor have the specifics in his head, about the players who aren't back in training or close to being so really. Obviously we want to hear about Dunk but Monk's focus is clearly on the ones who'll likely be able to contribute before the end of March, and we got the answer as to whom they are. I am sure if some of the 'journalists' such as Peter Swann asked the club and even Harrison for an update he would probably share one with them. I made the point when MB was in charge that the press conferences got very samey each week with no real answers to anything. MB used to be coy on injuries as well. Its as much down to the questioning or Swann's waffling. It tends to be Stephen the CEN guy who asks more direct questions at the end.

It really is quite simple. If we want to stay in League 1 then we have to earn the right to do so and that means picking up points against the so called bigger teams. It’s a tough run in, but if we end up getting relegated then we have to accept the fact that we are not good enough for League 1 and that League 2 is where we deserve to be. We had a ton of luck last season and maybe we won’t be so lucky this season. However, it is in our hands. It’s now up to Garry Monk to galvanise this team and the players to perform to the standards that they are capable of. We didnt - over 46 games you end up where you deserve, we did get some luck towards the end but had some shockers before that - MK away and FGR away for a start

Winning 5 of our last 9 is what kept us up and that was not luck. It was strong leadership, receptive players, resilience and hard work.

An international-related postponement has got to be a first for us, hasn't it? And who knew Jubril played for Malawi??

OK, I know I shouldn't say this (blame me at 10pm tonight), but you know how everyone's bad run comes to an end against us... Well, perhaps tonight is the night when we make someone's good run come to an end. I had to laugh when Lincoln tweeted (x'd) about 'can we make it 12 games unbeaten'.

Lincoln need to tweet out a boastful stat about how brilliant they have been playing. Earlier in the season we proudly announced we had the most clean sheets in L1 (might have even been in the whole EFL). Later that day we shipped 4 at home to Barnsley.
