Asked a Reading fan on another forum who's part of the protest group if there was any chance they were planning to disrupt/suspend another match (tongue in cheek). Yesterday he said "no chance". This morning he added "24 hours is a long time. Who knows now." Worst case, we all buy Reading shirts. Invade the pitch, job done

Protest outside Addams Park tomorrow. 🍿 Andrew Protesting outside a rivals' ground on a Friday night when no one is there. Not suggesting Reading deserve their owner but their fan group doesn't seem the smartest bunch.

I think Andrew is a harsh one, granted no one was great Tuesday but he has been pretty damn solid for us for some time now.
I'd be tempted to start Bonne with the aim of getting Taylor to be an impact sub (bit like the Fleetwood game).
With so many changes I'd also be tempted to stick with Stevens too, considering 6 is never good for a GK but they had a couple of tap ins due to shocking defending.

Sounds like there could be two pitch invasions on Saturday, after speaking with my mate. One at Reading, by Reading fans and the other at Wycombe, by Reading fans!

We should purge the majority of the squad like Stalin. I'm not sure mass indiscriminate murder is legal, but I take your point.

To increase their chances of beating Reading on Saturday, Cambridge United could focus on strong defensive organization, exploit any weaknesses in Reading's defense, utilize quick counterattacks, and capitalize on set-piece opportunities. Additionally, maintaining high levels of intensity and teamwork throughout the match could give them an edge.
A solid formation for Cambridge United could be a 4-2-3-1. This setup provides a balance between defensive solidity and attacking threat. With four defenders at the back, two defensive midfielders to shield the defense, three midfielders to control the midfield and support both defense and attack, and a lone striker upfront supported by wingers, it allows flexibility in both defensive and offensive phases of the game.
The selection of players for Garry Monk would depend on the specific strengths of the squad and the tactical approach he wants to employ against Reading. However, some key players who could make an impact include:
1. Goalkeeper: Select a reliable shot-stopper with good distribution skills. 2. Defenders: Choose defenders who are strong in the air, good at tackling, and possess good positioning. 3. Midfielders: Opt for midfielders who can control the tempo of the game, provide defensive cover, and contribute to the attack with accurate passing and creativity. 4. Forwards: Select forwards who are clinical in front of goal, have good movement off the ball, and can create scoring opportunities for themselves and others.
Ultimately, the selection should be based on the team's overall strategy, the opponent's strengths and weaknesses, and the current form and fitness of the players.
If Cambridge United are playing away at Reading, the dynamics of the match could shift slightly, with Reading having the advantage of playing on their home turf. In this scenario, the match could be more challenging for Cambridge United.
A score prediction would depend on various factors such as Reading's home form, Cambridge's away form, any injuries or suspensions, and the tactical approach of both teams. It could result in a closer scoreline like 1-1 or 2-1 in favor of Reading, but again, football matches can be unpredictable, so the outcome could differ.
