A dilemma Shubs. Had I been any good at football and had chosen Austria, their rules prohibit dual nationality in adults too, whereas if I want a Czechia passport now (and I may well do this for border queue purposes) then I simply have to present myself at an Embassy and apply for citizenship if I can prove the link (which I can) and then a passport follows. Seems odd when two neighbouring EU countries can have different rules, but it explains why India has its own rules too. Probably worth a call to the London embassy if she wants to take the place up? Why would two different countries having different rules be odd? Ireland and the UK have different rules, despite agreements standing much longer than the EU's existence. What seems most odd to me is British arrogance and exceptionalism, something which seems to be showing no sign of abating! Of course only Britain is arrogant.

Do you, your husband, James Brophy and George Thomas all have dinner together in an understanding and safe polyamorous environment? Or is it more clandestine? And can Brophy score in any context? So many questions. You’ve misread the dynamics, I’m afraid. My love for Broph and George Stanley Thomas (GST) is rooted in a place of innocence, boarding on the maternal, thus establishing them as our silly, lightheartedly unruly sons.

Thanks for the clarification, hope my questions weren't too intrusive.
Keep up the fine work.

Fair play for calling it Britain, normally the Scots and Welsh get a free pass. Ah well, onto a summer of people misunderstanding Three Lions!

Heh, yeah, same. I've found as I get older my feelings towards United and (some) united players has become quite paternal.
It's been a journey of hero worship when I was younger until I was the same age as the players where it became more of a broski type thing, and now this. I look forward to the next phase in my United journey. Grumpy old b*stard maybe, I'm already there in every other sense so it'd make sense.

I am another of those born in Ca... errm...nterbury, along with Mr Pomery it seems.
Plus my Mum was also born in Czechoslovakia, in the Sudetenland, of German parents, so some similarities with Jerry too.

We’re both too chipper to descend into your stereotypical Habbin grumps. More likely you’ll finds us trying to push Werther’s Originals and crumpled fivers into our favourite players hands, I wager.

Certainly the best at it, as your post doesn't do anything to disprove. The fact that the OP corrected himself shows that my observation was correct and it was odd.

I often find myself presuming (hoping!) that the more intemperate and personally abusive criticism of our players comes from older fans. In the same way that older people can literally doublethink that life was so much better in their day when kids roamed the streets and fields but any group of 4 or more young people are clearly up to no good etc modern music is rubbish etc etc I recognise this as I am guilty of it myself.

Mill Road for me and my bedroom in my childhood home on the Whitehill Road estate was 482m from the centre circle according to Google Earth. There's nothing like your bedroom being fully illuminated by those beautiful floodlights on a cold, dark winters night when I was young 😍

Mill Road Maternity. However my wife and son were both born approximately 10,500 miles away in Sydney. Unfortunately this distance also sums up the various levels of interest in The Mighty U’s in our house. Perhaps exposure to a couple of sleep inducing non league games against Woking and Yeovil in the early days were to blame.
