It has been mentioned a couple of times recently how dry our pitch is. Before Garry Monk arrived the sprinklers were on just before the players came out to start the game, not any more. Is this a deliberate ploy to make the pitch more bobbly? Does it actually help us?

Jones needs to realise that Cambs is usually the driest county in the UK in many studies. Moaner. He should have started the leagues best striker if he wanted to win the game.
But it wouldn’t surprise if if the cheeky Monk had told Mr Darler to stop the sprinklers.

I mean he picked a front 3 of Ahadme, Bonne and Kachunga, with Digby and Cousins in midfield, not sure he was expecting much passing along the ground.

Premier League Wigan moaned about the ‘dry pitch’ too. Funnily enough, Bolton didn’t back in February.

Maybe Nathan Jones has cracked the riddle of why we are so much better in BST
Or maybe he’s just a cock

I don't mind Jones actually. Maybe it's because he's Bonners mate. He's a funny little character though for sure, I quite like character quirks in a game that's increasingly sterile. He's authentically himself isn't he?
'The pitch hasn't been watered for about 8 years' is quite an amusing line as post match interviews go. Don't mind it and I don't mind Charlton getting salty with us. It's fun times when we can rattle clubs like that instead of, say, the non-league filth we were rattling 10 years ago like Dagenham or, um, Farnworth, was that one?

From one of the Charlton forums (Charlton Life):
'Jones blaming the pitch again......like he did away to Fleetwood & Exeter. Getting a bit boring now & the comments today seem a bit disingenuous.'
