Birmingham fans I've seen on social medias are enjoying the moment with a bit of non-ironic 'Plate' energy and I'm enjoying how much it's winding up fans of rival clubs, particularly Wrexham supporters who don't seem to enjoy not being centre of attention.

I've just been reading an article about the omission of Trevoh Chalobah from the Chelsea squad touring the US (where else?) when, in the final paragraph, I read the line: 'Chelsea face Wrexham on Wednesday in San Francisco'.
I think I might go back to supporting March Town United...life seemed so much simpler then...

We're going down. Again We always get relegated in July and early August.

We're going down. Again We always get relegated in July and early August. Relegated teams don't often do as well as the pundits predict - they have fifteen promotions between 60 teams across 20 seasons, that's less than once per season. 26 times in 20 seasons (so 26 out of sixty promotion places), i.e. nearly half the promotion places each season go to teams that were in the 7th - 20th positions in the previous season... the pundits and bookies tend not to predict this!

Just out of interest, I looked at their predictions for 23/24. Beginning with 21st place and then descending he went:
Burton Albion Shrewsbury Cambridge Cheltenham
She went:
Oxford Utd Burton Albion Cheltenham Cambridge
Make of that what you will.

In fairness, they did better than that awful super computer thing, which got all relegations and promotions wrong.

I don't care what some youtube dorks think will happen, however they try and pad it out. Almost all predictors just lazily think big name = top, small name = bottom.

Saw one that had us 19th the other day so that's nice. Though he did say he would almost certainly have picked us for the drop in July but thought we'd made some smart signings in Garden, Smith and Lavery and had a picked up a few players with high potential like Watts and Richards.

Can you stick a Youtube 24/25 prediction video on the dressing room wall?

I am actually quite fed up with the usual start of season lazy punditry. It strikes me that the bookies and others who churn out this crap simply look at the marquee side (Birmingham), and then rank broadly in terms of gate sizes allowing weighting for famous/rich owners, before relegating the smaller clubs as a matter of course. FWIW I agree with Sutton insofar as Birmingham probably will win the league and Crawley will be relegated by Xmas, I don't think he's close on many of his other 'predictions' (guesses), possibly except for one and that is that I do agree with him that Barnsley could very well struggle this year. My guesses are as follows:
Up:
Birmingham Charlton Play-Off Winners: Bolton
Down:
Shrewsbury Mansfield Stevenage Crawley
Us: I've thought for while that a comfortable, progressive and pleasing 14th is where we'll end up and I'm sticking with that.
Edit: Before anyone calls me out for suggesting the outcomes stink of lazy punditry I think Barnsley will only just stay up, alongside Lincoln who have lost some real quality, and that the table will look broadly like this:
1 Birmingham 2 Charlton 3 Rotherham 4 Bolton 5 Wigan 6 Blackpool 7 Reading 8 Exeter 9 Huddersfield 10 Wrexham 11 Peterborough 12 Burton 13 Wycombe 14 Us 15 Bristol Rovers 16 Northampton 17 Leyton Orient 18 Lincoln City 19 Barnsley 20 Stockport 21 Shrewsbury 22 Mansfield 23 Stevenage 24 Crawley

We finished 2 places outside the relegation zone
The league has improved considerably
We have not improved considerably (yet)
Our relegation rivals have improved
It's not lazy to have us going down, i'd say they're throwing guesses out to have us anywhere but bottom 4. Let's take off the Amber tinted spectacles and look at the state of the league. Also it doesn't matter in the slightest so i'm not sure why people get upset about it

I wouldn’t say our relegation rivals have improved. Crawley can barely put a 5 a side team out, Northampton have lost all their best players and haven’t replaced them, Shrewsbury look nailed on for relegation with their recruitment.
Reading could be anything this season too. I’d say we have improved on paper but still with some business to do clearly.
