He’s thrown his leg out to the left when the ball is going right, clearly looking for contact so he can go down. No penalty for me. One shot on target in a ‘must win’ game and 2 own goals during the 3 games. They weren’t even close to deserving to go through. Aah, while I agree with you, according to the pundits 'he's entitled to do that!', which tells you a lot about the modern game! Still think it may have been offside, which is why they didn't even say if there was a penalty check ongoing. Comms were poor in that incident, just as well it wasn't British officials.  |

Honestly it hurts. It's symptomatic that we go in hope not expectation and I don't disagree with anyone who says we got what we deserved. Simply not enough quality players and that leads to managers who protect the O as we don't score anywhere near enough goals. It's catch 22. Somehow the SFA need to improve the pathways to ensure our best young players get the opportunities they deserve and that's no longer solely at the discretion of those at Ibrox & Parkhead.
Never mind, probably another 12 years before we qualify for a major tournament again!
I've got Kane as captain, Bellingham & Pickford all in my Euros fantasy league team so that'll be be my excuse for cheering them on for the remainder of the tournament.

I’m by no means a fan of Scotland and their racist anti-English national anthem, but my first reaction when Hungary scored was “ oh no”.
And I’m sure there fans will be laughing at us should England fail.

Yeah, wouldn't mind us giving a closely chopped version of Land of Hope and Glory (make sure the line about Hitler having a bath stays in though) but God Save The Queen (and or King) is naff, as well as not being for our country, religious and monarchist. Jerusalem would never work and is also religiously themed so another no no.

As an actual Scot , it wasn’t a clear penalty and we were awful all
tournament.
Far too much effort spent patting ourselves on back re “pure amazing fans” and not enough trying to score goals.
Late goal saved waiting around for 2 days for 17 combinations of results for 2 points to be enough to fail to materialise either.
