Easier to feel positive after a win but it occurred to me that our dalliance with 'fart around with it at the back' football may well have put us in a better position to stop teams who do play that way because it will have improved our understanding of the tactic and what the opposition will be trying to do.

I sort of get that - but you shouldn't have to fail at it yourself to understand how to counter the opposition team playing that way. Surely we train that way when trying to perfect it?
