I think I may have found a justification for the guided bus way. flood.firetree.net/?ll=48.3416,14.6777&z=13&m=7 Flood the area by raising the sea level a bit (6 metres plus) and it makes a good foundation to build a dam/levy on. The guided bus doesn't make sense as presented, but is that just the story for public consumption to limit panic and plunging house prices north of the levy? The A14 is saved. (joke)

Gosh! Lurid! That is a great link, thank you for that! I've just had minutes of fun seeing how far the sea needs to rise to dispatch Peterborough to the annals of history, and its not a lot!!
Sadly, if Peterborough floods, so do we :-(
Shame about Amsterdam, well, Holland in general, and northern Germany. Perhaps they'll all have to get better at swimming. Note how a 3m rise obliterates Kings Lynn, Wisbech et al! Thankfully, I am OK until we hit 20m in central Cambridge, but then my house price should rise as I'll have a nice sea view!

My home is still safe when the level is up to 20m. Vessey will have to move to Canada to beat that (as opposed to staying in a low lying locale).
