There is a U's fan in Kenya. My friend was doing a coaching course in Kenya and one of the kids was wearing a Cambridge shirt. He tried to convert the kid to Ipswich but the kid stayed loyal to his precious Cambridge shirt. Good Lad.

I've given kits away in Guatemala, South Africa and the Maldives. The only thing I got back in return was a Cape Town Ajax training top.

A bit of Cambridge United in the Camp Nou for this weekends game against Real Betis... Did you have a good time? Went to the Camp Nou a few years ago for a match against Deportivo, best atmosphere I have ever experienced in a football stadium!

Yes it was amazing. It was the whistling that got me... whenever a bad decision from the ref came about, 90,000 people whistling all at once really goes through you! Atmosphere was excellent, especially in the second half when Betis came back from 2-0 down. A word for the Betis fans too, there were only 300 or so of them right in the top tier by the scoreboard but they were bananas! Really made some noise and went absolutely mental when they scored. Top bunch.
Rome derby is next on the list...

Deportivo fans were the same - obviously Barca like to look after their guests, sticking them as far from the action as possible so they can't be seen (or heard in the case of Deportivo!).
Talking of whistling, at the time Ronaldinho was very much the flavour of the moment with the home fans. He got a deserved yellow card from the ref for pulling the shirt of an opponent. For at least the next 30 minutes the ref was getting the most horrendous abuse and whistles from the whole stadium. At half time when the teams went off, Ronaldinho got a heroes ovation from the crowd, milking it all the way as he made his way off slowly after all the other players. When he got to the tunnel, he took off his shirt and gave it to a young fan and spent 5 minutes signing autographs. I can imagine Frank Rijkaard's thoughts as he prepared to give his half time teamtalk without his star player!
The other slightly bizarre thing was the game kicked off at 10.00pm. Whole families were at the game, and many of them around us left at half time - somehow the kids had fallen asleep during the first half!

Chris - your pic brings back happy memories of my trip to the Nou Camp in September 2010, I was out there for work and luckily enough Barca were at home to Sporting Gijon whilst I was there.
Great stadium, extremely friendly fans where I was in it, and easy to get in and out, despite 88,000 in attendance on a Wednesday night. Also good to get a beer outside with no queue before kick off..... why do we always seem to get organising big events so wrong in this country?
Same experiences for me at the Bernabau in Madrid a few years back, and also at the San Siro for AC Milan/Bologna, all great stadiums and great experiences.

I got several excellent photos on my tour of the Melbourne Cricket ground this afternoon, this being my favourite. It really is a magnificent stadium, I was also extremely lucky to be the only one that turned up for the 1PM tour. Instead of taking advantage of the situation and rushing me through, the guide pulled out all the stops and showed me several parts of the ground most people never see due to time constraints.
