Just thinking aloud but what are the ramifications (if any) of reduced visitors/hits on the official site?
I generally only visited to log on to the board and got most of my info from there, so being the sad git I am, I`l l probably just come straight here.
I`d imagine a fair few would now do the same, so was just wondering?

It's part of my internet roundtrip when I go online so my visits won't drop.

Same as El goodo, my general routine when I open up Google Chrome is to click the top 4 or so websites on there (cambridgeunited.com included) so I would of thought I Will continue to go on there, but may not be on there as much, as a lot of my time spent on the site was for the Message board, but sure will go on there alot.

I would have thought the number of individual users will be roughly the same, but surely the amount of page impressions will drop dramatically? I guess people would have spent a lot of time clicking on individual messages on the old forums...

I check the site a couple of time a day for info so always on, but if those who only use the message boards now come here then the numbers will drop.

We will be including links back to the official site in the scrolling news section on the main page of this forum.
On top of that, people are free to post official site links on this forum.
Though this is an unofficial forum, it's still frequented by people who really ought to be visiting the official site too, for news and so forth.

They'll definitely be down. I only look at the website while I'm on my way to the forum. I trust a message will appear here if anything interesting appears on the main site It's the right thing to do though. They now don't have to be responsible for policing an official forum, or be in some way liable for what get's written there. Thanks russmg.

I always do a quick round-robin of a few websites when I first load Chrome. Just a quick news check
