The forum is available in the iPhone app. To connect to the United forum once you've installed the app you need to do as follows:
1. Click on the forums button in the app (second left at the bottom of the app screen). 2. Click the + button to add a new forum (button is top right). 3.Type cambridgeunitedfc into the box provided. 4. Click Go
That's it. It'll then provide you with the login screen.
Any problems give us a shout. I've noticed that the forum doesn't appear to show up when you search for it at present. Will have a look and see if I can work out why.

Its a pretty good app. Looks like you need to pay £1.79 and buy the full app to get the full use from it. The free/lite version only lets you read threads. You cant respond.

I've shelled out for the full version - doesn't add a lot apart from the ability to reply (and gets rid of the Lite icon, which is probably more important). Unfortunately it seems a bit unstable, occasionally crashing when you've posted.

Mines working great do far but then I have a strong wifi signal. I've paid up for the full version. All the links launch ok and my messages appear to be posting ok. Very good stuff.

It's crashed once for me when posting a message, and once when switching forums - not too bad, and certainly not as bad as I was expecting from the App Store reviews.
It actually looks very nice though and I think it's probably easier to read than the browser version.

A general question about Ipads - I understand you can download books onto these things (one of the selling points is the ability to read magazines too) - does it strain your eyes? And how practical are they? I'm thinking of getting something a bit more mobile and getting rid of my pc, but not sure if an ipad would be as practical as a laptop.

And how practical are they? I'm thinking of getting something a bit more mobile and getting rid of my pc, but not sure if an ipad would be as practical as a laptop. I've never found them to be too straining on the eye, but the longest I've read on it for is about an hour. They're relatively heavy too - at least compared to a Kindle, which is smaller, lighter and not backlit, so I'd recommend that for pure e-reading. The iPad's not a replacement for a PC, nor is it supposed to be - I think if you only had an iPad you'd really miss a proper computer, be it a laptop or desktop. If you're looking to go mobile, and want to spend a bit of money, I'd thoroughly recommend the Macbook Air - incredibly light, stylish, long battery life and with almost all the functionality of most other laptops.

There's an update to the iPhone app today which I've just downloaded. It makes the board look even better and easier to read. It's also apparently fixed crash issues which I have to say were few and far between anyway, so I can't really notice that as an improvement.
They've also added some mobile-related features such as the ability to take a photo straight into your message - very nice. All in all I'd highly recommend any iPhone user to download it (not sure if there's versions for other phones yet, but there's always a way round that if not...).
