Ah thanks for that, hadn't thought of Skyros so shall have a look. Went to Paros a few years ago, wandered around a few of the Cyclades in the past. If there's time might head over to the Piraeus-side islands, Poros, Hydra, Sifnos, heard good things, guess you can't go tooo far wrong.

The Island wander should include Thera known more as the collective Santorini a great view from the top of the crater edge (as featured in that centaur women yoghurt advert). upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/14/Santorini_Landsat.jpg/220px-Santorini_Landsat.jpgAnti-Paros (off Paros) has a nice nude beach, but that is a young persons game as gravity and time are cruel. Since the 1970s and 1980s, Antiparos has become a popular holiday destination, particularly for nudists, attracted by the remote and sandy beaches. The best known is the Camping, or Theologians beach, at the north of the island, opposite the uninhabited island of Diplo. The far end of the town beach is also nudist, as is the Perigiali beach. However most of the other beaches on Antiparos are textile. Since the 1990s there has been a steady development due to its proximity to Paros, and the infrastructure has been improved to accommodate the growing influx of tourists.I'd recommend the more northern island of Skyros for a longer stay as the town (Chora) has limited traffic and so the pace of life is relaxed and the little steps and streets are pretty. res2.greekisland.co.uk/skyros/skyros_chora03.jpgres2.greekisland.co.uk/skyros/skyros_chora01.jpg....."Paros has a nice nude beach, but that is a young persons game as gravity and time are cruel." It appears to me that most nudist beaches are frequented by overweight, bald, sausage eating German men who have no appreciation of time and gravity.

I'm sure plenty of the travellers on here have been, any recommendations for what to see and do in Sydney? I'm lucky enough to have been sent out there for work soon and have just over a week of non-work time to use at my leisure. Looking to have a full itinerary! Probably won't be able to travel far from Syndey for budget and time constraints.

Looking at flying to Krakow and staying in Zakopane for a few nights.
Anyone been to either/both?

Having now been, I'd recommend both! Zakopane is great for walking.
Now, has anyone been to the Maldives?

I've been a few times to Oz as my daughter lives there. Sydney is a great place to visit, obvious short trips are to Bondi Beach, and the ferry across to Manly. If you don't mind heights do the Sydney Harbour Bridgeclimb, I found this absolutely amazing, but you would be best booking this in advance rather than just turning up, and be prepared to be breathalysed beforehand!
Further afield, try the Blue Mountains, could be done in a day but better to stay a couple of nights in say Katoomba, to view the Three Sisters mountains, ride down into the valley etc. A trip south down the coast is good also, I like Kiama as a place to stay, but there are several nice little towns.
Enjoy!

It was over a year ago Smiffo asked, so I'm guessing he has 'enjoyed' already (or else he's kicking himself for doing none of those things you've suggested)

Thanks Russ, it just shows I should read the whole thing and not just assume July means a few days ago!

This is a bit weird! I did everything you've mentioned but just booked to go back again in October. Everything except the bridge climb, awful with heights. So looking for something a bit different this time, got a lot of the main touristy bits done. Any suggestions welcome!
The Blue Mountains was my favourite bit, as you suggested stayed in Katoomba for a couple of nights. Did a very off the beaten track walk through the mountains, loved it. Something along those lines this time would be good to find!

While we're here...Tblisi/Georgia in general? Planning on using a three-week Christmas holiday to laze about in three places: Christmas in Athens with family, then fly alone to Tblisi, spend New Year there (doing what, I don't know) then fly to Tirana and travel back overland to Montenegro.

I would very, very highly recommend Dusseldorf in December.
Apologies to the umlaut police.

Where, when, how (good was it)?
Moved on to the idea of Bali as the weather appears to be more reliable in July/August.
