'There is a pot of money appx £600,000 for investment into CUFC. How..where...and who would come with it...is yet to be determined. CFU or CUFC Ltd have no relationship to that funding presently. I do...fortunately for us all...in any event.
There is another interested party unconnected to CUFC Ltd who are in a financial position to approach Grosvenor regarding the Stadium facility and have done so. Their current resources are in the region of £2-3 Million. Again I have a positive and trusted relationship with that fund management team. CFU or any CUFC Ltd agents...don't....of any worth.'
I don't know whether to laugh or cry sometimes.

I work with somebody that was diagnosed as a Psychotic years ago. He's a thoroughly nice chap but he is completely and utterly oblivious to his condition and always will be.
It is sometimes difficult to relate to such people, particularly as their condition is frequently accompanied by profound paranoia. However, they do really warrant some patience and understanding as they genuinely do not see themselves as we do, and never will.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry sometimes. While I have no doubt that the man is in need of serious medical attention, and with the obvious proviso that it's never good to laugh at someone in that position, if you can divorce yourself from that it's definitely 'laugh' rather than 'cry'. If he had any say/influence/involvement over or with the club I'd be worried, but as he doesn't and never will, I personally find it hilarious.

His attention seeking gets worse! Even if he was in a position to influence potential investors, what benefit does he imagine will be gained by disclosing potential sums of money that could be available? I'm not sure the "investors" would be so happy!
As a second note, I would hope the club checks the due diligence of any prospective deal that has Sooty's name anywhere near it.

I'm more the second type. I try to apply liberal social principles to keep it real.

The state of Sooty's mental health is no one's business but his own. I would suggest if anyone thinks he is a tad off the wall with his posts either to exercise their right to ignore them or respond and engage positively. When post appears to be obviously 'a pinch of salt' I'm indifferent and ignore it. You don't have to engage with anyone if you don't want to. To go out of your way to laugh/cry at someone when coupled with an assumption they have a mental health problem some might view as amounting to prejudice. He certainly comes across as an eccentric character and I would suggest Cambridge has always been all the more colourful for such people.

'I would suggest if anyone thinks he is a tad off the wall with his posts either to exercise their right to ignore them or respond and engage positively.'
To play devil's advocate, why should Sooty be treated any different to other people who post on here?
Isn't being patronising if the only response to his posts are positive ones?
Does that mean Sooty doesn't have to take any responsibility for what he writes because know one is allowed to criticise? We all know we open ourselves to rebuke when we post on here.
There is a problem when 'eccentric characters' start having power and influence. Remember the story of 'The Emperor's new clothes'? History is littered with characters who now would be diagnosed as having a serious personality disorder.
Millions of people have been killed to feed someone's delusions.
I exaggerate to make a point.

By 'positively' I don't mean you have to agree with him I just mean be respectful with posts. Argue against content by all means but lets not get mob handed with personal abusive against another user. Aside from the courtesy aspect we all support same club so it don't make sense to be out to alienate anyone.
He presents himself as a 'player' with power and influence but comes across very much as 'pinch of salt man' so why get your knickers in a twist. I would be surprised if the current regime at CUFC take much notice but of course I would hope they would rightly be grateful for anything that anyone can deliver to support the club.

While I agree with what you say here, Andy, I feel the need to inform people that not all personality disorders are the same. The type that might lead to genocide is very different to straight Narcissistic Personality disorder, let alone eccentricity. History (and literature) is a large sample size with relatively few examples of such extremes. You exaggerate to make a point that there are loads of folk getting by with PDs (but you would take their issues into account before hiring them), but by saying 'Millions of people have been killed to feed someone's delusions' your point gets obscured by the tabloid headlines that people have been misled by over recent years (eg Not voting Labour, Loonies are killers, Europe makes us do stupid stuff etc).
