We are back in the playoff chase but we have to thank some of the lesser teams for their assistance today.
Altrincham, Southport, Gateshead, Forest Green and Bath all took points of teams above us today.

Indeed. Wrexham, Fleetwood & Grimsby all have games in hand on us though.

It's amazing how much a little confidence can do to pick up the spirit.
I know Eastbourne and Barrow are hardly giants of the football world but you can only beat the team that's in front of you.
If we could take 1 point or even the full 3 from Newport we'll be flying, Let's just hope, Scof's, Ling and the players themselves can get to grips with the fact that a loss is not the end of the world if you lose while performing and fighting for the points on offer.
All credit to everyone involved for 2 away wins on the spin, Make it 3 for us lads.
Oh and massive credit to the fans for travelling all that distance, I can't do away trips as I physically can't afford to but I always listen to the games and never stop supporting.

I hope any lingering hopes of a play-off place don't put undue pressure on the manager and team, who despite significant criticism in recent months have actually produced fairly okay results (albeit with some significant exceptions).

I'm not entertaining the thought of a play-off place, Not because it's impossible but because I always seem to expect too much.
If we made it there somehow it'd prove a remarkable achievement from manager, coach and players and I'd be made up!
I have my fingers crossed.

Wait until we've played Wrexham and Crawley before we can say were back in the chase.

I hope if anything it will have the opposite effect, a genuine sniff of the play-offs could massively lift the atmosphere around the club on match days which has been a problem this season. Also if we can get into say 7th place I bet crowds will suddenly start to go up as people dare to dream.

There's still plenty of points to play for and amazing how a couple of wins can lift the old spirits. But still taking it one game at a time! But nice to go to a couple of tricky away grounds and come back with six points!

It does amaze me how a couple of wins against struggling teams has changed everyone's mood! The stronger tests lie ahead this month, lets not get too carried away!

Confidence amongst fans is as fragile as it is with the players. We are only as good as our last result atm.

I'm not so worried if we lose a few games in the next couple of months. What I would like to see is the Us taking a few scalps from the play off contenders. We need to up our game and show we can beat the top teams occasionally. That will do me and a season finish around 9th would be good given the problems we have had getting points in the first half of the season.
Important thing is fans stay with the team and don't snipe. This second half of the season has to be about confidence building for the team and it's our job as supporters to support.

Another 12 points and we can be confident of our status in this division next year. Another 47 out of a possible 63 points and we might have a playoff place. I'd say that's a big ask but let's have a go.
