Thats bang on the money - I know the "staff member" involved very well, and he told me all about the incident this morning. Seems the red mist descended on the Barrow director, and he lost control of himself. He had Spender in the car and was trying to get him to hospital, where was the ambulance is my question? There certainly wasn't one at the ground!

I hope the person you know who was involved reported it all to the police.

There's a lot of morons on the Barrow forum condoning his actions, which stems from the JJ incident. That's quite grand coming from a team whose player Robin Hulbert crucified Charlie Griffin's face in the Trophy Final, and again was sent off a couple of weeks ago for a bad two-footer.

It's like a rogue's gallery It's a shame this happened, JJ really cocked up. In trying to prove a point with a strong performance he's seriously injured another player. Hardly the way to get youself noticed eh, but the Barrow fans are not exactly covering themselves with glory either are they. For some to say that a director allegedly driving at and then assaulting a CUFC club official was a 'good thing' is beyond retarded. Some of the Barrow fans seem to realise that they have a problem if this story turns out to be accurate. Shame that it happened at all, Hopefully it'll be resolved sooner rather than later.

What the hell happened with the driving at a 'club official' business. I didn't see anything.
I really wasn't impressed by saah in the middle on Saturday. His touch let him down when he needed to get the ball out of his feet a few times and I didn't think his positioning was good enough to get involved in the midfield fight. The game seemed to pass him by a little. Whereas Carden seemed to be everywhere. Although he was very handy when in his own box as an extra defender and at set pieces. Still I'd give him a little more time to adjust as the theory behind him in there is good.
Wright seems a little off the ball of late. And i didn't think he held it up as well as can do. It wasn't really a game for Russel either as the ball was in the air too much.
Everyone worked really hard and we thouroughly deserved the win especially Carden, Partridge and Coulson. Willmott was excellent again and provided the spark for the goals. Looked very dangerous when running at the defense.

The individual concerned was not a CUFC staff member and I understand no formal complaint has been made by them either to Barrow or the police - the "incident" I have had recounted to me second hand and wasn't anywhere near as serious as was suggested in that thread on the Barrow site - and if it had, it wouldn't have been a matter for CUFC to pursue as such as it wasn't a staff member involved. No closed ranks or cover up!
Cheers,
Will
