It is easily forgotten that when we first arrived in League One, we did so without two of our three best players from the promotion season. Knoyle, as with Mullin and Wes, had been excellent. Bonner doesn't get the credit he deserves for getting that team to within a whisker of a top half finish despite losing those two. And I think I recall something about an FA Cup win in the North East. Glad to hear Kyle is back playing. Also glad we have Liam Bennett

Just noticed that Big Joe's Doncaster are now only 4 points off the play-offs with four games to play, on amazing form. I'm sure they were relegated candidates about six weeks ago but they've won 7 on the bounce now.
Joe got another goal tonight, his 19th of the season.

On reflection right back must surely be our strongest / most consistent position over the past 10+ years. We’ve been spoilt with the likes of Lennett, Knoyle, Halliday and Tait.

Other than Dunk being moved there and danny andrew showing some quality this year, you could argue since being back in the league, LB has been probably one of the weakest/cursed! Blair Adams, Haunstrup, Jake Carroll, Dan Jones, Johnny Hunt Even the likes of Iredale never got to actually play left back through Injury Crisis’ and people begging for Greg Taylor to go before he moved to centre half.

There's something in there about the Habbin demanding more than any other part of the ground

Paul Mullin will be playing in League One next season.
So he’s back where he was when he left us having probably set himself up for life. Fair play to him.

We were talking about this at the Charlton game this afternoon - it struck me that the question of whether Mulls can cut it in L1 will finally be answered. I really hope so for him, but ideally not against us!

Delighted for Mullin.
Less so for the circus that follows Wrexham but at least a small part of me remembers the several centuries they spent decaying as a non&league club so...happy for their fans.
Happy for Kyle knoyle at Stockport too. That's been a heck of a journey for them from championship to regional football to moneybags to league 1.

Andrew Knoyle has a habit of making weird transfers, so it'll be interesting to see him rock up at Barrow in the summer. A real fairy tale for both of them though, 6 million in losses a year.

Yep, I'm definitely reluctant to welcome them to league 1 because they're everything wrong with football. At least they've both suffered long enough to almost make you feel pleased for them, though.
Another goal for Ironside today I see. Another I wish the world for. You'd have to fancy their momentum in the ploffs if they crash it.

Yeah I don’t really care for either club, Stockport maybe a bit because of family and the fact they had 6 years in the proper shitsticks, but I do like Mullin.
