Both good away days. Both clubs have really been through it until the last few years.
Much happier for the 3k core supporters who took the punishment for a decade and a half than those who've materialised over the last few years but hey.
They're two proper clubs so fair play to anyone who wants to spend their time and money watching their local club when you've the Manchester/Liverpool clubs on your doorstep.

I agree both are proper clubs and whilst there is some jealousy towards Wrexham, they served their time in the conference. At least their celebrity owners have got it right in the way they’ve done it unlike knobhead Neville and his mates.

If Donny get in the playoffs and are against MK Dons, I might need to take a little trip to Milton Keynes in the away end to be a Big-Joe fan for the night. A way to extend the season and fairly local

Just watched highlights of the Port Vale capitulation to Exeter. Lots of reasons why they ended up losing but lots of Vale fans seem particularly unhappy with Uche being subbed off for Weir when Exeter had pulled a goal back. Four minutes later they equalise and the full collapse is on.

Speaking of Uche, he's out of contract at the end of the season. Would anyone be tempted?

Yesterday had the feel of that weekend last year where at one point the table had us pretty much down with MK 4-1 up against Barnsley after 69 (heh) minutes. Even though we were doing our job at Accrington I think we're pretty much screwed if they didn't blow it (obviously not accounting for the butterfly effect they would have finished on 47 and sent us down with 46)
At half time we were only a couple of points clear of the drop and right back in it. Amazing weekend for us.

Yes, at half time it was feeling very twitchy. I was recalling my exchange with cufcparrot earlier in the week where, had he had his way, Vale would have been a point better off. At that point I was thinking 🤔🤔🤔

Yeah things didn't feel great at half-time. In the end, finishing the day a point further away from the final relegation place was an excellent result. If only Gibbons had shot or passed better for Ahadme...

Well, yeah. Even I'm pretty sure we're safe now.

More than likely BUT there's still just enough of a chance that I won't stop checking the scores in-game yet.

I'm not changing my routine of staring at the league table for three hours a night doing maths and dat.

If we stay up and Stockport, Wrexham, Mansfield and Doncaster come up, it could be a fun season for Lockdown Legend reunions. One at each team - Knoyle, Mullin, Boateng and Ironside.

Funny to think Mansfield have three former United players in Maris, Boateng and Williams who were all contracted within a 12 month period from July 2020 to July 2021 yet none were here at the same time...
