When a manager does not give a straight answer to a question; that's code for you know the answer but dont make me say it. Kai Yearn is an age group England international so has to question why he has not made the same strides as others in the cohort. Likelyhood is that Kai Yearn needed a fresh start to kick start the talent he has. Perhaps another Connor Washington style mess up for us? He looked awesome in the youth cup matches.

Kai Yearn played for Stoke u21’s last night. Did he though? I suspect a bit of Fake News here. He is not listed in published line ups on the Stoke City web site.

As a former England age group international, he’s not going to be short of people wanting to take a look at him this summer. It’ll be interesting to see if he‘s able to make anything of the trials he lines up. On the plus side, turning out for Stoke u23 last night does at least suggest that he didn’t reject a deal to join Unwin at Posh.

Ok I get it now. He wasn't named on the official Stoke web site because he was a trialist/still registered with another club .

I'm not massively fussed what happens from here, to be honest. Hoddle and McConnell look like really exciting prospects, and I'm much more interested in them than Yearn now. If he goes elsewhere and flourishes, then good for him. If not, I'm sure he wouldn't be the first England youth player whose development has fizzled out after a bit of hype.

Medy Elito.
Good luck to Kai. I doubt I'll follow his career that closely but I wish him well as I would any of our former youth players.
