We did beat Dagenham 4-2 in 2006/07 after coming back from 2-0 down. They won the League that year.

Reminds me of that game under...Quinn(?) when we played someone who had secured the title the previous week. They were 2-0 up early but then the hangover kicked in and we did them 4-2 (I think. Brain is telling me it was Dagenham but they've never been promoted) Andrew That was my first ever U’s game. Immediately fell in love. They scored twice early and it was abundantly clear why they were clear by 20ish points at the top of the league. Robbie Simpson was outstanding that day, scoring a brace. I think Courtney Pitt got another? Teenage Morro played too.

Fun game that one. Seem to remember Pitt, Simpson and Peters scored. Not sure who got the other. 2 for Simpson maybe? And the D&R fans were doing conga lines round the South Stand after the 4th went in.

Rob Wolleaston.
Probably a thunderbastard but no recollection of it. Do remember the conga lines though!

We beat Vardy's Fleetwood after they were already promoted right? Jack Eades on the scoresheet.

Rozmac with the 2nd. Very youthful team for us, Thorpe, Hudson, McAuley, Eades, Berry & Hughes all starting. Mangan did play along with big Steve McNulty.

Yeah, he'd scored the winner against us earlier in the season. Quite funny in hindsight that at the time we'd have all been more concerned about Mangan than Vardy. Had completely forgotten Eades, Rozmac got the other.

Weren't they unbeaten in the division in something crazy like 30 games as well? Rozmac absolutely marked Vardy out of the game as well if I remember correctly.

I'm sure it was on Setanta, who didn't start televising "blue square" football until that season was over. I tried to find that goal a few weeks ago actually, but had no luck. The internet ain't what it used to be.

Kai Yearn played for Stoke u21’s last night. Good move for the lad 👍🏻 When a manager does not give a straight answer to a question; that's code for you know the answer but dont make me say it. Kai Yearn is an age group England international so has to question why he has not made the same strides as others in the cohort. Likelyhood is that Kai Yearn needed a fresh start to kick start the talent he has.
