He had an absolute disaster of a season last year so I think that'll prove to be a good move for him. Finally at probably about the right level of club to prove if he's actually a League-standard footballer or not.

Dallas is fast in danger of becoming one of those players who will end their career having played for 27 clubs and averaged about 3 goals per club.
He was superb at Solhull Moors but looks like he got royally shafted by Barnsley, who brought him and and shipped him out the door before his tea had even gone cold.

Players with that sort of record always seem to get Gainsborough Trinity on their CV at somepoint.
There's still time.

English, back up that's capable if needed, means you can loan out your younger keepers.
Pretty cushy gig for him I suppose, another I'd hoped would end up back 'home' once all was said and done but alas.

What a weird move, for him and them. They have financial fair play issues, very probably a cheap option for a 3rd GK?

Shame, but I get it. It's probably quite a good gig to be third choice goalkeeper at a premier league club at his age - somehow he's 38 in October.
Easily still good enough to be one of the better goalkeepers at this level. What a great career he's had and how brilliant that he maintains his love of the U's. Hope he takes his united moo cow with him.

That'll be the Scott Carson role signed up for him, so that they can comply with the number of english players needed in the squad to maintain the quota.
Nice gig - probably a decent wage, for not doing much. Down sides, he has to live somewhere near Newcastle...

Northumberland is a beautiful county got the lot in terms of a place to live as long as you’re hardy type to face the winter.
