I've got both and I'd say that the Kinect is better although there are not many decent games for it at present - but those that are decent are brilliant - Kinect Sports is a must have.
The Kinect is much more physical - so if you are not exactly fit (I wasn't) it may be a good way of getting some exercise - I pulled a muscle in my back on Boxing Day, jumping up in the air to grab coins in the raft on Kinect Adventures Game that came with it!
As long as you've got space to use it too - it needs more space than the wii and you need to be further away from the tv - you'll no doubt be impressed with it. Also you've got a very good gaming system available to you when you play without the Kinect.

I asked about this myself - responses here: cambridgeunitedfc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=218Having now got one myself, I definitely recommend it. Kinect Sports is class and you will be amazed by how much it can feel like proper exercise! Maybe it's the novelty of the technology, but it seems fun as a single-player game too, so it's not one of those things which only comes into play when your family/mates are there. I'm yet to have a go on the Party Play mode, which looks like it'd be great with loads of people there. The Kinect has got loads of potential and I'd say the Wii is now very much a thing of the past. I'm looking forward to a 'proper' computer game coming out on Kinect, as the cartoony ones may be fun to play but they lack depth.
