Potteries rumour that Nathan Smith (Vale centre half) is heading our way We'll have more nils than a Scandinavian census at this rate. Plenty of defenders and midfielders but little up top

Fejiri Okenabirhie available on a free? Scored 9 in 26 for a Cambridge side who struggled to create chances last year, and then 14 in 47 for a Doncaster side a couple of years before that at League One level. Stop and start career due to injuries, but could do a job? Unfortunately for Fejiri injuries have taken their toll on his career and that’s why we released him. Also why he hasn’t possibly been picked up yet

Big Joe had a pretty decent record I think when we signed him. I love that man.

When was the last time we signed a proven goalscorer? The last one you could call proven was Barry Corr. Our history shows that most of our successful forwards haven’t done it elsewhere and have flourished here. They include Biley, Crown, Dublin, Taylor, Butler & Mullin.

Our youth players were warming up pitchside at Braintree, having a conversation and one just said quite clearly “his name’s Kyle Taylor”. Read into that what you will.

A bit baffled by the Kyle Taylor rumour. Didn't play much for Exeter last year and how many centre midfielders do we really need?
Nathan Smith is a little more believable with Jobe's injury but I would have thought we would fill that slot with a young loanee? Morro, Watts, Zeno and Okedina with Digby as cover and Dandrew and Gibbons if playing 3/5 already seems like good numbers at CB.
Priority is surely still a striker (or two), a left-back and a wide player/attacking mid.
