Was a tweet linking us to Jevani Brown that was very quickly deleted by the looks of it.

Noah Chilvers has just left Colchester so something about to happen there you'd assume.
I'm expecting it to be Orient rather than us but I'd be quite happy if we signed him.

Well I guess he's more likely to make the national team playing against Celtic and rangers, right?

Think he’ll change his name to Noah Shivers going up there.
Ross County are a complete mess and have escaped relegation by the narrowest margins possible in last 2 seasons. Sold a few players too.
Hope he has an escape clause when the inevitable happens.

Is the U24 compo applicable if he moves there? Didn't it used to be if the player stayed within their own association only? Or am I misremembering....

Colchester will still get some compensation for him I believe but it's a set amount based purely on time he's been there & appearances I believe. Guess their chairman digging his heels in has put people off. Surprised no one would take the shot at the tribunal-sett fee though.

Cambridge or East London just can’t compete with the bright lights of Dingwall and Inverness.
Good luck to him. Wonder if Ross County have a training base nearer Glasgow and Edinburgh to attract players.

Interesting decision by him. Honestly, I don’t think we were ever in for him.
The player I want to see in on loan is Joe Taylor from Luton. He’s an animal. Banged 11 in and Colchester first half of the season followed by 10 at Lincoln.

No, their owner and benefactor, Roy McGregor, spent quite a lot on their training facilities and youth academy 7/8 years back. They are punching above their weight because of his money but they're likely to be stay up again this year, even with losing key players like Dhanda and Murray, mainly due to how poor St. Johnstone are. Should they end up in the play-off again, they, or any other top-flight team will be strong favourites due to the gap between the divisions and the fact their opponents will have had two difficult ties first. Incidentally, one of the things that has frustrated fans of their rivals in Inverness and highlighted the lack of connection between club and fans, was an attempt to base their team's training at Kelty Hearts in the central belt.

I'd expect him either to sign permanently for Lincoln or for Luton to give him a chance in the Championship this season. What would the be the point in him going on loan to the lower half of L1?

Are they definitely looking to loan him out? He can't be far off the level they're now at.
