Seventh in the table too.
Blatantly not footballing reasons.
Has the crooked paddy and Fat Barry thrown their toys out of the pram again?

Great news. I'm still hopeful that McAnthony will end up completely f*ck it up there. They've lost a good manager, and with a bit of luck the players will be up in arms about it.
Wouldn't be at all surprised to see them chase a big name now.

Didn't mean to, wanted to edit but I'm watching the Crawley/Derby game and got a bit distracted.
My point was it might be for footballing reasons. It just means they've got unrealistic expectations or feel he's underachieving with the resources he has. It's not different to say Man City sacking Hughes or arguably even Liverpool sacking Hodgson etc
Just had a look at their forum though and they seem to reckon it's probably because he's fallen out with the chairman over transfers so Chris is probably right that it is for non footballing reasons.
I'm glad he's left though, now I can enjoy it when they lose without feeling sorry for Johnson

On Radio Five tonight during the Crawley game, Steve Claridge said he knew it was going to happen and it was nothing to do with football. He said the Boro chairman was shouting his mouth off after the last game that he was going to sack him!

And just the sort of thug, bully, gangster owner that we need to make sure doesn't get involved with us. Edit: Steve Evans for next Posh manager please

Fry and Evans. Dear god, I didn't know London Road could hold that much weight.

They'll drop back to their natural L2 level sooner or later.

Good work Darragh MacAnthony! Anyone that gets involved with a club through some toilet Sky program deserves everything they've got coming to them.
Hopefully we get a couple more of his cringeworthy rallying calls plastered on the Posh website.

I have to be honest - Gary Johnson going was hardly a surprise. He's best shot of that place and their awful chairman. Additionally, it always makes me laugh when I listen to BBC Cambs phone in on Saturday evenings, as the average Pish fan has the IQ of a raisin. They are always on about firing the manager, no matter what the result. You could almost hear them when they fluked their way into the Championship going on about how crap Fergie junior was.
That club is a basket case.
