Good find CUFC 69. I'm no expert but I reckon it's from the 1996-1999 era.

Good find CUFC 69. I'm no expert but I reckon it's from the 1996-1999 era. Thank's my father passed away about 6 years ago and I found the badge and some other united memorabilia in a old shoe box, there is a silk scarf still in it's packaging, it certainly brought back some fantastic memories of attending some of our early games in the league in the 1970s,

The old silk scarves! Tremendous! With the badge I just meant cos it was the recent design as opposed to the book and ball or older The original and best yet never adorned upon a CUFC shirt, a hybrid version 1996-8 aside. Scandalous. My mission in life remains to change that! I drive Doggett mad about it every now and then.

I had read about a version of the badge with the coat of arms etc on it, but had never seen it myself and Google Images turned up nothing. Where did you get the picture from and do you know if there is a colour version anywhere? That is a truly superb badge, and I'd join a campaign for it to end up on the shirt one day!

Sorry Shrops, missed your earlier post. This badge adorned the programme cover in the early to mid sixties. I've got a few of them. Message me if you want one for posterity's sake - free on me.

ShopshireU, let me know if you want a copy of a programme, got a couple left. Demand is high! Have only ever seen a colour version of this on a shield which used to appear on the back wall to the right of the bar in the old Harris Suite, prior to the renovation and becoming the Dublin Suite. Shockingly in the refit this shield was 'skipped', never to be seen again, all around the time the trophy cabinet was auctioned on ebay! Let me know if you require any more detail about the badge, history, I've got a colour version mocked up somewhere.
