Yeah but you know we'd have to go for an out of work manager. It's not like we're in a position to pay compensation.

Indeedy. It's a shame Sinton hasn't followed his own lead and signed on non-contract terms like the rest of his squad.

Good point.
Steve Burr at Kiddy seems to be operating on a tiny budget, and look where they are in the table.

It's a valid point, Kiddy are indeed a good example of what can be done inspite of financial problems - currently sixth in the league, one place and three points off the play-offs.
Man for man, I'd say we'd got a better squad than them.
Still, if Ling can get his 'troops' to build on the last result, we might start to move up the table.

He needs to get his artists firing painting, too

Sadly, our primary artist Vincent van Miller remains crocked

ha!
Can you explain the difference between an 'artist-soldier' and a 'soldier-artist'? One of the weirdest things I've ever heard a manager say in a post match interview. He said something about how each level has to help the two levels next to each them. What on earth does that mean? Shouldn't the whole team be helping each other?

God knows. It sounded like drivel straight out of a corporate training day

I was as equally as confused as anyone when I heard him spouting all this artist/soldier waffle.
I hope assume there's a method to his increasing madness?

Ling used to managed by Hoddle at Swindon so I'm sure he picked up some interesting stuff there. maybe he could see if he can get that Eileen Drury woman into the club. Should could bless the pitch or something

Having briefly spoken with Martin recently I like the guy, (yes I have made comments of passion in the heat of the moment) I would like to see him come on board as part of the new beginning. Hard times ahead but annual changing of managers is not the answer. John

Oh definitely.
The 3-2 against Doncaster remains one of my favourite U's games.
