We're off to see the mighty Levellers at Brixton tomorrow. 25 years since 'Levelling the Land' was released. Where has the time gone? I'll be there as well.

Where are you seeing BSC? I'm seeing them at Shepherd's bush empire next week and again in Nijmegen (Netherlands) at the end of Jan, as a bit of a jolly with some pals. Good luck with Kiss, I hope for your sake they are better than they were at Download last year! Seeing BSC in Aarhus in Denmark. Saw them there last year as well, they were outstanding. Hoping Kiss will be good, a small venue (4500 people), but may be the last chance we get to see them

I don't think I will be back from work in London on time for the Scream on Monday. If anyone wants the tickets let me know. How many? Could do with 2?

Saw big country at the waterfront Norwich yesterday and they were surprisingly good not many original members in the band now, still makes me sad thinking of Stuart Adamson. Also saw the Sherlocks there in February who were excellent and are playing junction 2 early next year really looking forward to seeing them again, hope they make it big, would recommend them. Blossoms at the junction recently were great and Slaves at Cornex were very good, you can hardly believe that they played at The Portland less than a year ago. Biffy Clyro at the o2 up next on Thursday but this is a bit of a one off as personally I prefer smaller venues.

Primal scream tonight. Slow to get going on a Monday night but crowd more than the scream. Finished great though. They've still got it.
Thanks belly77. By missing Sunday's drubbing of Cov and tonight's gig you've drawn the short straw!

Black Stone Cherry at Shepherd's bush empire tonight were truly excellent. There was no support act and they opened the show themselves with an acoustic set before a short interval followed by a full electric set. The acoustic set was as tender as a fillet steak and the electric set was as ferocious as a jaguar. Absolute magic!

Saw Electric 6 on Sunday night. Unusually, the support band were better than the headline act. We Are Z they were called. Really really good.

Saw Magnum last night. They may not have been as active as they were last time I saw them (about 25 years ago), but played a blinding set. Was surprised by some of the songs they missed out, but I suppose they are limited to how many they can play.

If a Magnum set did not include How Far Jerusalem The Spirit & Kingdom of Madness I may kill people
