Oh their fans absolutely love the competition (once again - I ask if they will welcome B Teams into the league with open arms as well). You should have read the wankfest on Twitter before the game with at least 3 of them describing it as their "favourite competition" putting it above both FA and League cups.
That is one club most definitely bought by the FA - I look forward to their attendance figures for Vs Watford B in a few seasons.

It has little to do with the FA. It's the FL bending over and taking it up the arse for the Premier League

I doubt he gives us a second of thought per day. Brighton see particularly keen on gaining every advantage from this situation. The whining about neutral venues makes me puke. Playing at an empty Anfield or an empty Amex or an empty Abbey really doesn't matter.

I wonder if the league three idea from a few years back may be revisited.

And the whole idea was ratified by those who kept on attending the stupid Trophy games - well done

But who told us time and time again that we were being stupid suggesting that allowing B Teams into any professional competition could be the thin edge of the wedge.

I would have no problem if the Football League invited a number of teams from the National to form a third league, but not one created to include b-teams from the Premier League.
Jack Roles, for example will have benefited from playing regular first team football in league two rather than for a b-team in the LDV.
However, it is more likely that b-teams would be included if there were to be reforms in the pyramid, unfortunately.

For me it doesn't really need a third league or B-Teams or anything more revolutionary than salty caps.
Football has an opportunity to balance itself out a bit. I hope clubs take the opportunity.
Edit - salary caps! Wtf.

But who told us time and time again that we were being stupid suggesting that allowing B Teams into any professional competition could be the thin edge of the wedge. It's just been reported that there's a proposal for SPL teams Rangers and Celtic to have their B teams added to the Scottish League.

You see, even if the proposal goes no further than a proposal, the thin edge has been inserted. Just the fact it was proposed. Yet people tell us to "calm down and stop being so dramatic". Post Covid-19 there could be the "League 3" proposal being made again.

It’s a really tough one. You would assume that unless there is some sort of bail out, lots of lower league clubs will go bust throughout this period.
That bail out won’t come from the government, TV companies or probably the EFL - so you would think the Premier League clubs would be the most likely donors if there is to be short term relief provided.
The issue is - and completely understandably - they’d want something in return. B teams seems like the most likely option they’d go for - I’d be astounded if it isn’t at least very seriously considered by the EFL upon the conclusion of this season.

I would boycott any game against a B team and I think most people would, too.

Celtic/Rangers B teams would quickly rise to the top of the Scottish League leaving the way open for their first teams to join the English League. Another CB9 postcode
