I would boycott any game against a B team and I think most people would, too. Yet around 2k prople are already not boycotting B Teams at CUFC. Move to bigger, L1 clubs and even more thousands of people are not boycotting games against B Teams.

In the last game we had against a B team in the EFL Trophy the attendance was 900. Which is about 3k less than our average attendance in proper competitions. So the vast majority of our fans are still boycotting. Only 764 attended our other home game in the B Team competition this season.

Yeah...though I think we need to compare crowds of 900 and 764 against the average in the same competition, rather than against our league average.
I think we'd expect crowds of around 1800 in those games going by previous years (correct me if I'm wrong - I'm going by memory and can't even remember who we played). Clearly an attendance of half that number represents a huge boycott just not neccersarily one as succesfull as you suggest...that makes me a little apprehensive about what might happen if it was introduced into the league given its heightened significance.
I'd be interested to know how many of the ?3k fewer are stay-aways because they disagree with B-Teams or because it's competition they were not particularly bothered about in the first place (at least in its early stages)
I'd also be interested to know how many of the current boycotters would boycott the game or the entire competition.
I'm a little bothered by the restrictions on screening 3pm kickoffs being lifted too. I hope it remains a temporary measure but I feel that now the TV companies have their foot in the door they'll kick it open.

I think it's easy to boycott it because the early rounds are basically squad games. I can do without rushing around after work to half a reserve side. However missing out on a Wembley trip would test thst resolve for most people. As would boycotting league games.
Totally agree on your last paragraph

With time on my hands, I've been watching Sunderland till I die. It's good. Anyone who hates this competition would probably be advised not to watch episode 5 of the second series. You'll want to vomit.

Unfortunately we need every penny we can lay our hands on this season - it's an absolute joke that this 'competition' is even proceeding rather than the Prem just donating the funds to EFL teams, but since it is sadly we need to wring every last penny out of it...

Thankfully the attendances should be at Covid levels - so the same as usual. The club wouldn't make it to Wembley anyway, but even if they did I wouldn't go.
It remains a dangerous competition. Right now there is the potential for some clubs going bust, no supports in grounds when the season kicks off and heavily reduced crowds after that. Yet the FA still decide to hold this competition - see how important it is to them?
It remains the dangerous competition it always has been.

What a fucking joke. They should scrap this for the season and the league cup.
Distribute the prize money to the clubs who need it to survive.
Both a a complete waste of time, at the detriment to safety and will add nothing to the season.
No doubt DMAC will he going gangbusters for it tho.

If it is scrapped (no objection from me if it is!), there will be no prize money to dole out, that will come from the sponsorship deal.

I think the prize money in carribo starts at the QF stage. So there is absolutely no point in us playing 3 or 4 rounds behind closed doors

I'm not boycotting, it's just not of any interest or significance to me anymore. Boring
