Right, balls to this competition obviously. However, it does give us a bit of an opportunity to give a few like Jankester and Knibbs their match legs which will benefit us in the long run. Bonner mentioned Iredale was nursing a knock so I imagine we'll rest him off until September 11nd now. We might want to do the same with Jones as he was another mentioned as carrying a knock but I'm not sure we'll see a change with only Mamadou as back up. Personally I'd start him, and I'd start with Bennett too. Is Weir available or will he be on England duty? I reckon we'll see either Mannion or KML too. It'll be interesting to see which of them is first pick back up. Andrew Weir's available. Mannion Bennett Masterson Jobe Dunk May Weir Knibbs Worman Lankester Smith would be roughly what I'd expect from our line-up. Or a straight 4-3-3 with Lankester and Knibbs either side of Smith.

Yeah I'd go with that. Maybe a start for our last minute panic buy when he's announced at 5.30. I can never remember the maximum allowed changes, is it 6? As well as Brophy blowing out of his arse on Saturday, I wonder if bringing Dunk on for 3 minutes was with an eye on tonight.
Edit: just checked and it is 6 outfield players, although any player with over 40 appearances, ie Dunk, qualifies regardless of playing the previous game. So in effect, we only need 3 players to have started Saturday, which I'd guess at Masterson, possibly Jones, and O'Neil.

£12 for this competition is far too much. I can't see many going.

Knibbs too. So I think we'd be fine with Dunk, Masterson, May &/or Knibbs. I don't actually think Bonner will make as many changes as I've suggested though – Jones & possibly O'Neil or Digby probably will start.

With the gay moth on Saturday I wonder if Bonner has changed his thinking a bit. Maybe he'd've made a few more changes if we were playing Doncaster.
Andrew.

I can't remember how "seriously" he tended to take this last season. I know it was the only competition Worman or Dallas got any game time in but my vague feeling is we tended to field stronger teams than many of us were expecting. Although, as with this year, the size of our squad made that less of a "statement" than it might otherwise be.

Ooh a first proper glimpse of KML...
Mackenzie-Lyle
Bennett, Jobe, Digby, Dunk
Weir, May
Knibbs, Worman, Lankester
Smith
Or could be a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3...
Becket & Yearn on the bench too

I vaguely remember a rule that you must have 5 starters from your last game. Or maybe that only 5 changes from your last game. And there was a fine if broken
Did I imagine this? 🤔 The idea being that teams didn’t treat the competition as a joke and played close to full strength teams
Hmmm maybe I’m talking nonsense. I am sure I remember a rule
Edit: sorry answered by cufcrob above ^^^ cheers

Surely you can make as many changes as you want for a reserve team fixture?
