Was expecting to see Knowles in this squad today. Hm. In the development team tonight, as captain What an absolute waste, I am praying Royston try poach him back soon

Was expecting to see Knowles in this squad today. Hm. The big problem he's having at the moment is that we don't play a formation he fits into. He would probably get more opportunities in a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3, but I don't think CC see's him as a wingback.

No doubt, but considering 3-4-3 has become our go-to formation for when we're chasing a game, I'm still a little surprised by his absences. Especially when, like last week, we have a long injury list.

Doesn’t sound as though many of those fringe players out there tonight did themselves many favours. Really surprised not to see Knowles at least on the bench.

Get out of group stag 30,000 £20,000 for a win then 30,000 for another that buys you a striker in January , don’t get it we not going to be a top three side ,if we in it at least try to progress. The club commercial side trying to bring as much revenue as possible for the club. tonight’s winnings would probably be equivalent to 3 home games profit on food and drink.

Surely we don't need another striker?!

We might need another striker in January. If Richards were to leave at the end of his 6 month deal that'd leave us with Dallas, Knibbs and Smith. We have Jabo as well of course but he's not really been playing even when fit so who knows what the plan is with him.
Our home form is really quite disappointing, eh? I guess we're suited to soaking up pressure and hitting teams on the counter away and struggle to dictate the game when we're at home, or something? I don't go to away games so I don't know what the difference in our play is so that's a guess. It is quite striking though.

It’s the same old story we cannot score goals . We should have had at least 3 on Saturday, sometimes they are harder to miss than score but we manage it and looking at the clip from last night it was business as usual .

Do they bother to show the attendance figures for those farce matches? I'd like to think under 1k from yesterday.

a little under 750 I think, which is still far too many for a pointless game like this.

Yeah, my preference would be nobody going obvious but everyone is grown up enough to decide for themselves.
I reckon it's well down on what it would have been if the tournament wasn't blighted by B teams though, so it's clear many are still observing a boycott.
I'd almost be interested to see how the crowds would look if United progressed to a point where it became 'exciting', though. I think having about 500 at Wembley would make me very proud.
