2025 people in attendance. We had less in the conference for some games 😠2,025 for a game against Tottenham’s youth team? That’s more than we got against Swindon in the League Cup this year. It seems the resistance to Premier League B teams being competitors to proper football teams has been well and truly broken 😠Doesn't compare. Swindon league cup match is in August before school term starts. Can't remember how much the league Cup match cost but tonight cost me £6.00 to send 4 teenagers to the game, two of them have never been before. I share the concerns about the Premier b team issue but there are positive aspects too. I mean, I genuinely think that the fa should withdraw England from the quatar world cup(should we qualify!) but it's our best chance to win it since Italia 90 and I'd be cheering... Just trying to look on the bright sides

Didn't Swindon insist on full price? Whereas tonight was as cheap as chips. I think the difference in pricing goes a long way to explaining the relative attendances...

Porn Hub was a much better way to spend the evening even if I didn’t last out for 90 minutes

Moderators/Russ/Mike, can we shut down this thread and instead have a separate thread for each match in the Pizza Cup? I mean I'm no motivational expert but when the thread title is about boycotting the trophy and you then have performances like tonight and last time against Oxford....I mean Kai must love reading that his games weren't quite in the league with watching porn hub...Jaysus wept ...whatever the wrongs and rights of this competition it's an opportunity for younger players and sidelined players and recovering players to get back on the pitch and start playing. Put the obstacles aside and this could be a great way to bring the fringe through. Also Leon Davies was in the squad. Unless you've a heart of granite that was special.

This thread has probably served it’s purpose. People are never going to agree on this. But an attendance of over 2000 tonight seems to suggest that any boycott is largely over

Err, what was stopping you starting a thread for this joke of a match yourself? I would of course comment on it that real fans of football should boycott it though.

This thread has probably served it’s purpose. People are never going to agree on this. But an attendance of over 2000 tonight seems to suggest that any boycott is largely over It seems you’re right - as with Milton Keynes being given a place in the second tier of the pyramid without having earned it through merit, the money men are being proved correct that, while football fans might moan a bit to start with, they’ll eventually accept anything. B teams in the league & even more stockpiling of young players by Premier League clubs, stunting their development, here we come…
