As poor as our form is at the moment, can you really sack a manager at a club with our resources, when we are three points away from the top half of league one? If we were tenth would people still be wanting Bonner out? I can see why people are frustrated after 1 win in 12, but all is far from lost! You are forgetting losing in such an embarrassing way to that lot. Last season when we beat them, I said to my wife that it was the only game that matters. Clearly not the case but it matters so much more and I'm still utterly fcked off about it. I need repairing and I can't see it coming from this shower.

I took some, limited solace from seeing Boro also spank Burton at home this afternoon.

There are 44 other games that matter just as much as playing Posh. I’d take another humping by Posh at home if it meant we win enough other games to finish the season in a comfortable 14th place.

Being "3 points away from the top half" seems to be of little importance when the general trend since the start of September seems practically straight down. After the Pish calamity there were people on here saying "well we are still only 7 from the playoffs", now its "only this much from the top half" at this rate by January it'll be "well we're only this far from safety". Think the point alot of people have raised as well is it isn't just 1 win in 12. Last season was woeful but we just about scraped by, this season seems to be heading the same way. The manner of some defeats this season is also below the standard that we should expect too. Whether Bonner should be sacked or not is an incredibly hard decision? There's a line for me and whilst he hasn't crossed it yet, he's certainly heading straight for it. My heart wants to give him every chance and opportunity, my head is split though.

Peterborough matters more emotionally, but only emotionally. All games are worth the same number of points so, yeah, if we get enough points to finish 14th it's been a good season with a horrible stain on it.

It's a competition but which only provides emotional reward to fans of clubs.

Not sure I'd agree it *only* matters emotionally. The choice presented was taking another humping against Peterborough if it meant finishing 14th, I think I could take the emotion out of it and take 14th if that was a genuine offer...it's a hypothetical, but I think it raises a fair point.
Anyway, yeah, football is overwhelmingly driven by emotions of all kinds, absolutely. It turns us all in irrational argumentative blithering idiots. I don't even know what blithering means.

Bonner's record in the league since the start of 22/23 season to now: W-18 D-12 L-34
Goals For - 55 Goals Against - 90
Get rid!

The worst stat for me is the lack of coming back from a goal down. I'd love to know Bonner's thoughts on that but there's no way any of the journos close to the Club would dare ask.
What is it now, the last 36 or 37 games we've gone behind and lost 34/35 of them? That is absolutely criminal.

I'd assume Bonner's aware of it – there was something early on this season or maybe in pre-season about things that were an issue last year that we needed to address this season as a team, and points from losing positions was one he explicitly mentioned (clean sheets & draws were 2 others) – but we've not had much (any) evidence yet that we've found a solution to it.

It's a good word. I think we're all a bit 'blithering' at times when it comes to football.
