Just to take the edge off the next 24 hours for a bit, what are we thinking? Not really my type of album but it still resonates to this day. And actually "Brian was" is up there for poignancy. Yah?
In other news I am still working on the second drum roll in "State of emergency" by a certain B Falloon. Hero.
We win tomorrow, by the way, sadly not in black and amber.

State of Emergency by SLF is a quality tune-well done on getting the drum roll. Inflammable Material still has to be one of my favourite albums of all time.

There's just the one 'L' in his name.

Jake Burns is my all time musical hero. Lost count of the times that Iv'e seen SLF live. All over the country. Met him once at The Leadmill. They say never meet you heroes. Ecstatic that I did. A thoroughly lovely down to earth bloke. We had a clink of beer glasses. Cheers Jake.
Bizzare that he now lives around the corner from my son, also Jake, in Chicago.
I know that my lad reads this forum from time to time.
Take care pal. Not seen you for 2 years. We'll meet soon.

Sheff - Sky Arts channel(now freeview), a three parter has just finished called "Live Revival", concentrating on smallish, eclectic gig venues around the UK which have been/are under threat from the pandemic. Part 3 featured The Leadmill which I think you'd appreciate. The whole series was excellent. Worth a catch up?

I'll enjoy watching whilst, no doubt, getting misty eyed. Thanks.
