Just about to move back to Cambridge for the first time in 13 years.
Looking to get into playing 11s, can anyone recommend a league where the fitness/standard varies and isn't taken overly seriously?

You may be about 10 years out of luck, sadly the Cambridge Sunday League is at the point of death now. When I first started 13 years ago we had about 10-12 leagues in total and now it's down to just 4 2 of the leagues are taken up by players who play somewhere between Kershaw prem to step 5 football. The Cambridge Friendly league may be slightly better although I know one or two teams in there who are similar and just batter every single team 12-0

Not sure what those teams get out of winning 12-0 every week. Cambridge Friendly league might be worth a look - thanks for the reply.

Depending on how old you are, there is a Cambridgeshire county veterans league (2 divisions) that I personally play in. Teams from in and around Cambridge as well as some from Newmarket and Suffolk. You have to be 35+ but there's all ages above that and all abilities and levels of (un)fitness represented. Teams are regularly on the look out for players judging by the other teams I follow on Facebook. Roll on - roll off subs as well which works excellently. www.teamstats.net/league/cambridgeshire-county-league/vets-division-1www.teamstats.net/league/cambridgeshire-county-league/vets-division-2Some very good teams especially in league 1. Cheers and good luck!
