I think the work is being doing pro-bono so any cost to the club should be minimal if anything by the sounds of it.
I think it's fine to consult the fans on a possible change so I'm glad they're floating the idea. I don't want a new badge at all but I feel like I could deal with a change if I knew it was a majority vote rather than some prick in a suit or fans group with a chip on their shoulder about 'toilet seats'.
Hoping for an overwhelming majority to vote for sticking with our beautiful club badge for another 40 years.

I think we are missing the point here. The club are trying to get some big money sponsors on board and the image conscious organisations do not want to work alongside our badge which with all it’s history does look as though it won third prize in a Blue Peter competition. Should we change our badge for That? Not fussed really it is what we are able to do on the pitch next season that I am interested in.

It’s not like it contains an enormous cock or something

Any company that can't accept our badge isn't the sort of company I want working with us.

All very noble lads but our current badge doesn't look retro or even ironic, it just looks really dated (the Cambridge United FC text at the bottom particularly).
Unfortunately in today's world dated = unprofessional, so I think it's quite probable that it is a turn off for potential sponsors.
I think the fundamentals of the badge can/should be kept (an amber CU on a black and white football) but it can look a whole lot better.
Look forward to seeing some drafts.

I’m not opposed to a change of badge as such, but I’d hope this is the first stage of consultation that would end with a say on the new design. Asking us if we’re in favour of a potential change then imposing something would stink.

Spent a bit more time looking at the badges. A few thoughts: - Most of the badges look like they could have won third prize in a Blue Peter competition - there are only a small handful that are 'tasteful' or 'elegant'. - How many other clubs share initials? I like that given that we share ours with Colchester and Carlisle, we're the ones with the big CU letters on our badge! - even if we change our badge, the internet age has kind of 'immortalised' our current badge. A bit like when we changed the ground name but everyone still called it the Abbey. - The love of a badge is completely subjective and sentimental. It takes on a life of its own once we've all ascribed meaning to it... I can list many many awful band names but that doesn't matter once you know and love their music.

I got the email, but the link to the survey seems to be broken! As Sim1138 says, we can't, at the moment, express our views anyway! Need an IT expert....

I think we are missing the point here. The club are trying to get some big money sponsors on board and the image conscious organisations do not want to work alongside our badge Please name a single company or organisation that has refused to work with us because of our current badge? I don't think the badge is as bad as some people make out, I would definitely have it over alot of the modern copy and paste badges other clubs are using. Because we've had it so long it's easily recognisable among football fans too. And as someone previously said it has sentimental value because of how long we've had it and the journey we've gone on whilst using it. I'd be open to adapting the current one. A new badge should include "United in Endeavour" in it somewhere, I'd also keep the bridge/turrets we have in the current one at the top.

How do you get to it, I clicked on the form and get some typeform advertisement that won't let me pass?

New email sent out with updated link.
I've said I don't mind so long as it's NOT a coat of arms. We're a football club not a local council or a stately home.
Our badge isn't that bad - look at Leeds United's for a bit. Dreadful in almost every way - they should get the 70s one back!

No luck, I'm using one sent at 6.10 this evening, just takes me to a third party page without passing.

New one arrived 20 minutes ago. I got my first one an hour after others did so it'll come in time. :-)
