If Taylor plays tomorrow I hope the fans don’t boo. Anyone who puts the shirt on during the 90 minutes deserves support.
However get shot whatever happens at the end of the season.

With Brophy adding some injury time gloss on the break. Some of our fans would spontaneously combust 🔥 Can confirm I’ll go f**king mental if Brophy scores because I unashamedly love the bloke. Gives 110% and genuinely cares.

There is quite an irony in the fact that Taylor is the type of player that for years many people ask why we don't sign when teams like, for instance, Wycombe are happy to pick them up. We're seeing exactly why there's been such an emphasis on players' character in our recruitment strategy over the past few years. For better or worse (well, probably better in this particular case) we wouldn't have signed Taylor in a million years under Bonner. And I think many of those who will forgive Taylor anything are those that give Bonner least credit. Not sure of the connection!

I can only restate what I said earlier in the season when some encouraged me to accept I’ll never see him score.
I will have my Brophy goal, in this life or the next…

Some of our fans would spontaneously combust 🔥 I really thought Brophy was going to try the ultimate bluff and to slot that late free kick under the wall into the bottom corner. Not to be... I've read some crazy things on here, but never anything as unbelievable as that.

Did I read somewhere Harrison went FIVE seasons without scoring!!!! Prob wrong though. According to Wiki he had 3 consecutive seasons without scoring 18/19, 19/20, 20/21. 111 games.

Even if Taylor scores to help us stay up, I won't hold him in high regard. He is a very talented footballer but seems to be motivated by all the wrong things. Taylor seems to get a lot of sh*t about his personality. Any particular reason? This question isn't directed at you specifically Mr Colon, yours is one of many posts taking a similar angle. Yes, I know he walked out on Charlton. Controversial, but not without reason. He had a chance of a huge move and a big payday. Football is brutal and clubs rarely show loyalty to players beyond the word of their contract, so I can understand why a player puts themselves first too. I'd be fuming if I was a Charlton fan too, but looking at it from a position of objective neutrality, I can see why he did it. I know he also refused to kneel for BLM, which is bound to have upset some of the self-righteous who frequent this forum and who get sh*tty about anyone who holds an opinion which doesn't match their own. Anything else? The accounts I have heard from fans who have met him is that he's actually seemed like a very amiable guy one on one. Performances wise, yes, his red card against Bolton was silly and costly, and he gave away a pen on Tuesday (extremely soft pen though). He's not been great since his very good start. But if we're starting to make personal attacks based on performances then most of the squad should be cancelled. Taylor could have had a few 'silly' reds since being here, and he hasn't played much. His behaviour has proven to be selfish and costly. But yes, the whole squad could be 'cancelled' based on a portion of our fanbase being 'self-righteous' and woke BLM snowflakes...do you read the Daily Mail by any chance? Anyway, he'll be gone soon, and we can get in a proper working-class comrade to lead the charge!

Yeah it was 3 full seasons, not 5. He only scored once in 21/22 though, which made his 3 in 6 at the end of last season all the more unexpected.
