Perhaps the Habbin is better headers... But, even I would say - as a notorious happy clapper - that the Main Stand tea bar is an ABSOLUTE JOKE.
Something does need to be done. As I stood there queuing towards the end of half time, I could not believe the speed with which each customer was being served. You'd think it was for a taster menu at Midsummer House, not a cup of PG Tips and a Twix.
I gave up and returned to my seat.

Dylan I’ve been reading your posts for ages now …and I trust them and like them. I’ve been running catering /bar events for ages now in the UK and Ireland and well they’re doing really well. This isn’t a sales pitch but if anyone from the moderator board / CUSP board would like to contact me I’m happy to give any advice free of charge …genuine and serious offer ….the guys on here have my email address so happy to help if I can.

I know the club have got rid of Paul who was the chef for hospitality which was a poor move as he did a great job of getting it right,Now they have outside contractors which normally means young kids on cheap wages not trained expected to perform the club have got this side of the club so wrong again,We have a good footballing side to the club but there are still many sides off the pitch which are very amateur.

I would guess the caterers are using agency staff for our games and probably most are students/youngsters without much prior experience. I supply to the Hospitality industry and most places need experienced staff since lockdown so I would guess match days at the Abbey are going to be tricky. Daniel you’ll know far more about this than me and I haven’t been to the Abbey for a few years but why has that changed? Money, contracts, franchises? No one being arsed …but yep trying to get staff in hospitality isn’t easy ….to a certain extent has always been challenging but obviously the pandemic has been another nail in the coffin. TG we had Brexit which has worked out really well …🙄🙄 I think the change AB, is that they contract the catering out so get a fixed fee or guaranteed income for doing so. The caterers then supply the food and staff. TBH i don't tend to use the catering much myself. When my son was younger and wanted a drink they were charging £3 for a bottle of soft drink so we started bringing our own!

I normally eat in the supporters club at midday watching the early prem game however I did eat in the NRE for Harrison’s testimonial, I decided to get food just before half-time when there was no queue, I followed the arrows on the floor ordered my burger then to be told abruptly by the women that I have entered the wrong direction and to top it off the burgers I think have gone up in price and are still pretty crap.
I use the Dublin bar after the game and my god how slow they were on Saturday, by the time I did get to the front from the point of ordering 2 pints and a coke to walking away with them was approx 10-15 mins, the lad didn’t have a clue how the card machine worked. Against Oxford I was in there and Greg taylor went to the bar to grab a bottle of water in his training gear and a young lad was going to charge Greg and Greg had to tell him who he was etc 😂😂😂
Match day food/hospitality experience has gone down big time, I do think the club will notice this thread and will take some action in the near future.

Did wonder about the Hospitality, it was terrible a few years back (see threads on here) then improved remarkably. If its gone to sh it the same as the rest, that's just crazy for the money involved.

The hospitality industry is f@c&ed at the moment due to Brexit and Covid. So many hotels I book for clients are understaffed and have new people who aren't fully trained. I know it's really annoying but try and bear with it all and hopefullyit will improve.

Went with my son to the Oxford game and bought one of the hospitality packages and was very impressed. Very well organised, professional and the food was excellent. All in all a fantastic advertisement for the club. Well done to all concerned - we had a great day.
