I have had one of those too, not to mention a doner kebab pizza that once prevented certain death from a hangover.

Just reading in this months WSC that the famous food at Kiddy will shortly be no more. The company responsible is packing it in.

Balti pies? Balti fecking pies? Being of Indian descent, this is a cultural and culinary abomination I tell you. Here is my take: 1. A balti curry should be served with nan bread and/or rice, washed down with large amounts of Kingfisher lager. 2. A pie should come with chips/mash and mushy peas. Steak and kidney, chicken and mushroom, take your pick. As for mixing the two, hell no! Whatever next, tandoori chicken pizzas? Delighted to have something to moan about at last! Been going for 20 years in the Midlands mate. Sort of a weird hybrid of the two cultures in Wolverhampton that stuck and took off. Never had one personally but they are pretty big in the Black Country.

The family of a man famed for his football stadium pies have been "overwhelmed" by tributes following his death at the age of 81. (from Nov 2020) Brian Murdoch, whose family business has fed fans at Kidderminster Harriers for nearly 60 years, died on Saturday, the club said. The lifelong Harriers fan was known for his "incomparable character and warmth", a club spokesman said. Read more below www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hereford-worcester-54890759

I can't for the life of me understand how the club or indeed out-side caterers can hope to make any money when they are selling food for only an hour before kick-off and for 15 mins at half time (a lot of this time the food is not even ready for the fans). Surely the continental method where sellers walk around the ground from 2.00pm onwards as well as the catering units selling throughout that time would make more sense. Everyone who wanted to buy from the sellers would not have to queue for their food and would not have to miss watching the game. We were market leaders many years ago when we launched our bacon butties, we can do it again now by coming up with a new way of selling food at games.

How are other clubs at our level running their operations? Surely the club should do some homework and see what works well. Would be a shame for the club to lose out on vital revenue as well as reducing the supporters overall matchday experience. I`ll be a level below on Saturday watching Josh v Paul Mullin at Southend. Will see what they do re ; queue`s etc ! OK, only small queues at half time for the tea bar which seemed to clear fairly quickly in their main East Stand. They had a small "pub" type bar as well though only a handful of people in there at 2pm. Quite a few around me had bought flasks and their own snacks......not sure if it related to the quality of catering there or not ? Tea was £2-10.

Dec Decent beer at affordable prices while u watch the game and blokes selling decent bratwurst in a roll for less than a fiver.

He he, I really enjoyed that. (shubs be warned though, there are numerous mentions of Balti pies and they're all favourable except for The Captain Bird's Eye ones!)

Random catering question - it's been an absolute age since I've been in the Habbin. In theory at least, can you get a beer there at half time?

Tea between £2 - £10, that's quite a range and the top price tea must be amazing. Is it served a a China cup, as I would be concerned about loss of quality if served in plastic or styrofoam.
