Hopefully should help with recruitment too - who would want to come to work in a portacabin.
Video analysis suite looks decent too - perfect for showing X rated movies - like Posh (A)β¦

Looks fantastic. Now lets get some better players in that will make us a sustainable League One club.

Brilliant. Really happy about this.
Needed a bit of an injection of pride in the club after the saturday before last, and this has provided it.
Well done to everyone at the club.

At what point do we become a sustainable league 1 club? How long do we need to be in this league for it to be the case?
Three years is a decent stint for us, it seems to either end in promotion to the second tier and ultimate financial decline, or trying to get promoted to the second tier by spunking money up players like Lionel Perez and ultimate financial decline. This different approach of putting money towards the infrastructure feels more considered to me π€·π»ββοΈ
The week off was nicely timed to come back to this, it really *should* work as a fresh start.
Thanks to the owners. A (mostly) great time to be U (mostly).

My first thought when I saw the news article that this could well have been precisely the reason they were given that time off. Lots of games in a short spell + get the finishing touches done & come back to something new seems a fairly compelling narrative

At what point do we become a sustainable league 1 club? How long do we need to be in this league for it to be the case? For me, ground redevelopment is essential to this. If we can increase capacity to 12,000 at least and attendances can get to between 8-9k on average, which I think is viable, then I think we can consider ourselves a 'league 1 club'. On this season's rankings, that would put us in the top 12 of the attendances. So it's less about how long we're in the league, but more about when we have redeveloped the stadium.

That does look a lot better. Here's hoping we can use it to get the most out of our players and attract a few more besides.

Looks very impressive and no doubt will be a selling point to future player recruitment. Top work to all involved (including Barry & Co who stumped up the monies).
As a few others have said let's hope this is the fresh start to get the players reinvigorated again.

Looks wonderful. Clearly the most modern training facilities we've ever had and everyone involved should be really proud of their efforts and financial contributions to get this done. It really looks like a professional and state of the art facility and it would be great to understand how this compares to other L1 offerings - from what I'd read before about this it seems to be well up there with the best in the league. It is also really clear to me (as a non-footballer!) how this will help to attract (and retain) players - it is just like if we went for a job in our normal lives and two offers are on the table at similar salary levels, so what makes the choice? Workplace is clearly a factor, especially given the amount of time players spend at the training ground compared to the stadium.

Awesome effort from Barry and the board.
There appears to be enough room on the drawing board now for a plan B

Do well at Cambridge United lad, get a move to the Championship, and you'll be able to buy yourself a nice house down Bentley Road. This is all quite strange because it's where I grew up. Have done thousands of dog walks along the path next to Clare College grounds. Was all fields round these ere parts, when oi were a lad.

Not bad for a board which "lacks ambition", according to an all too high number of people on here (usually after a bad result).
