Born in Cambridge > Hardwick > St Ives > Coventry > Stratford upon Avon Most away games are closer than home ones Stratford to Cambridge isn't great...and pre-A14 was the reason I didn't get to The Abbey very much growing up. Until I moved to North Essex I'd probably seen more away games than home ones. There were a couple of seasons when I lived in the North West when I ticked off loads of grounds up there.

Born in Canterbury but moved to Girton as a young child and lived here until I was 21; I've worked in central London all my life, so moved to Surrey in 1985. It used to be a guaranteed ninety minutes to the Abbey (door-to-door) so I could leave at 1:30 and still make each game, but these days I have to leave at 12:15 thanks to traffic at Dartford...

A lot better now that the m6 -> A14 junction is a straight run, same now the A14 cuts out Huntingdon. Easily saves half hour on journey times

Am I the only one of a certain vintage that wasn’t born in Mill Road hospital?
Born in Montreal Square, then Hobart Rd until adulthood then in and around Cambridge. Cambourne is the furthest I’ve got!

Another Mill Road baby here. Grew up in Quendon, Saffron Walden and Whittlesford before 4 years in Nottingham and Ealing for Uni. Then various parts of Cambridge (behind the main stand in Elfleda Road for a bit) before moving to Duxford with my wife before settling down in Melbourn for the last 10 years.

Born in Farnworth Maternity Hospital in Bolton (now Greater Manchester) 5 weeks after my parents moved house from Dunfermline Fife which I still consider to be my home town as I spent so much time there as a child. I barely remember Bolton as we moved again when I was 5 to Norwich and finally to a village near Newmarket which had a CB postcode. Call me a glory hunter if you like but I was drawn in by the FA Cup QF seasons and we were promoted twice in the first 2 seasons I started watching Cambridge Utd. In my defence I have been watching ever since. Im now living in Bury St Edmunds and there’s a few U’s fans in the shadows here keeping their distance from the Tractor Boys.

Born in Kettering. Moved to Cambridge in '94 for uni (well, poly) and stayed. My first few attendances at The Abbey, spread over several seasons, were in the Allotment End and Habbin South with Hartlepool-supporting mates... but eventually The Mighty U's ensnared me. Now in Ely.

1st time poster: Born at home in Sawston but grew up in Fulbourn from where my mate Dingall first took me to The Abbey v Newcastle on 5/3/80. Moved around the villages a bit before 20 years in Barrington. Now living the dream in Royston with no desire to be anywhere else (although a 10 minute cycle ride to the ground would be awesome!)

Loved reading this thread.
Born and raised in Sawston. A year or two above someone called Mark Bonner, some of you may have heard of him. We did plays together with Sawston Youth Drama society. Not sure what he's up to these days.
Moved to York for uni. Spent a fair bit of time in South Africa and Ghana. Now settled down in carrot crunching Chatteris. Too many p### fans here for my liking.

Birdbrook > Cherry Hinton > London > Sydney > Bar Hill > Baldock > Royston
Was living in Sydney when we played Torquay in the play off final in 2009. Game finished at 3am on the Monday morning for me and I still went into work for 7.30am. I don't think I have ever been so depressed!
