Sorted. Like it. Well done to the club for doing a thorough job. People will still moan. Am I bothered. Can we now move on.

Love the Coconuts badge. Looking forward to our new investment and Transfer WAR CHEST that rivals the likes of Birmingham with their old fashioned badges next season!!

It bugs me that the badge could be placed on any colour background and it would just be black. There is no amber in the badge, other than the background colour. What other club badges don't contain their main colour as part of the badge itself?
Bit of an oversight which contributes to the blandness of the design.

There’s a shite tonne of new United fans coming through the door.
Said it before but you see the kids in our towns and villages festooned with United shirts and stuff.
These kids will grow up with the same attachment to the new badge that a lot of folk have to the old one.
I know it shouldn’t be one or the other, but the fact we are staying at The Abbey and developing it means a lot more to me than the badge.

Was always going to be option 1 as the other 2 were so shite. I had no sound available for the video so what is the actual full design for the team shirts going forward & what's the crack with all those other logos ?

Don't think the chosen design is awful, just very, very bland. Which makes a bit of a mockery of all the corporate marketing blather about 'identity' and the ridiculous supposed meaning behind them. Beige. Safe. Meh.

It's a bit boring and rubbish but so is our current one so not fussed.

Sigh.
Bland, generic, monotone. Argentinian.
It's River Plate or Belgrano or Cordoba or San Lorenzo or Gimnasia without the parts that make them identifiable. Yes it looks like a professional football badge; it's lifted from a dozen of them. As an identity, it's terrible.
It's a real shame they couldn't give us something better. Some of the wider branding work is good, but I'll be surprised if we don't replace this crest in short order.
At least it's not completely embarrassing like the first proposal I suppose.

I quite like it and think the club deserves credit for going about this extremely emotive area in the right way.

That's fortunate because you have... until next season. Anyway, it's dull and I don't love it, but that's also exactly what I think about the current toilet seat. In the grand scheme of things, our badge means very little to me, so whatever. Glad the chapter can be closed and we can move on from it in all honesty. I do like the fact that we've created the alternative identities though.

I know what you mean, but as a badge it could also be amber on black, or the centre bit black and the outside amber (or vice versa). They've just presented it here in black on amber. The trend, as with our away kits, is for badges that ape the colour of the shirt. I think it'll only work for us with the bridge/circle surround - without it, as with the secondary identity, if is a bit nothing.

Did Dion get paid for this or did he do it out of the kindness of his heart, I wonder? This is a strange thing to wonder, but I can never quite work out whether your posts are genuine, or whether you’re trying to do the whole comedic message board identity thing. We almost certainly didn’t pay a member of our own board to do a voiceover for a promotional video, no.

If we are going for that then we might as well have saved the thousands on a designer and used AI. AI's replaced my/your four year old son/daughter??
